In the midst of the tumultuous sea of emotions, where some still wept for their losses and the sadness lingered after the great fire that befell the crowd, the village head spoke amidst the gathering.
"O my fellow villagers, let us not grieve for this trial from the Almighty. We must remain thankful to the Lord, for we have survived His trial that He has bestowed upon us," he proclaimed loudly, raising both his hands to the people before him. "We must be grateful to our Lord; let us express our gratitude together."
Instantly, all the villagers rose, whether in mourning or wearing blank expressions. They all stood and raised both their hands towards the sky.
"Let us pray together," Descuk said.
Descuk began chanting wild prayers to the sun god, whom he and his people worshipped with blind faith. He uttered nonsensical and deceitful words, claiming that the sun god had chosen them as His chosen people and that they must make sacrifices to please Him.
