[After finding out a certain someone not being in a relationship, Aria Tamami, the ojou-sama who transferred just recently decided she wanted to get closer to the boy named Yukiya Saito.]
After returning to the classroom, the bell rang and recess ended, starting the first period for the afternoon.
Class proceeded. The teacher ordered us to take out our textbook necessary for the lesson, which was "History".
Aria-san, who had yet to receive her textbook glanced back to where I was seated.
Noticing the textbook I had just pulled out from my desk, it was as if, she had seen an opportunity, an excuse to interact with me.
"Hmm, I have still yet to pick up my textbook, I just got here after all…"
As if intentionally letting to be heard, she said aloud.
She glanced in our direction, locking her eyes on me. She then put on this grin with meticulousness in her eyes. She spoke,
"Yukiya Saito-kun, would you mind sharing your textbook with me?"
She inquired, approaching me with this perfectly put, innocent-looking smile I could sense was a lie.
Putting on this equally perfect smile, I calmly replied,
"Ah, sorry. I had already promised to share my textbook with Mocha-san,"
I pointed at Mocha-san, explaining, "This girl seated beside me. She's also had just transferred here, so she has yet to receive her textbooks. I hope you can understand."
I explained, with the same amount of superficial ness to my smile she expressed.
No real emotion was behind it, however, from the outsider's perspective, two good-looking people are just casually conversing with each other, being friendly and polite. But all was just in reality a vasaud. A smile that I learned to make from Haruka-san as part of being a [perfect side character].
"Hm, is that so…" still putting up this superficial smile, upon hearing my reply, she has this somewhat seamlessly subtle air of disappointment around her.
"Yeah,"
I confirmed, with the same unchanging smile, that somewhat seemed so distant.
Class proceeds, Aria Tamami-san ended up sharing with the person beside her's textbook, while Mocha-san and I shared mine, listening to the class as our desk joined together with our shared partners.
[Aria Tamami's first attempt to get closer to the chuuni ended in failure.]
The next period arrived. Our desks returned to normal as well.
Aria Tamami-san, who was thinking of ways to approach me without being too obvious made her second attempt.
As the afternoon breeze blew, she pulled out her handkerchief and let go, making it drop to the floor closer to where I was seated.
It was intentional, however, she made it so seamless that no one would suspect a thing.
"Ah, my handkerchief got blown by the wind… Yukiya Saito-kun, would you mind picking it up for me?"
She inquired for my assistance, smiling but somehow having this imposing air around her.
"Mocha-san, would you mind helping Aria-saan with her handkerchief?"
I said with this perfectly calm tone, inquiring if Mocha-san could help with Aria Tamami-san's dilemma.
I explained that, "You're closer."
By closer, I mean barely even a centimeter closer to Mocha-san to the handkerchief.
"Eh?"
Wanting to complain, Mocha-san complied anyways, starting to feel like, 'Now he's just openly ordering me around.'
As I mentioned earlier, I want to go lowkey so I'm trying to get as little interaction with Aria Tamami-san, an ojou-sama who's at the top of the social hierarchy. However, for Mocha-san, it wouldn't be strange if she interacted with her for having the same transfer student status.
Mocha-san gave the handkerchief back to Aria-san, nervously, while Aria-san felt disappointed I wasn't the one to hand it over. But of course, she didn't let it show to keeping her perfectly elegant appearance of a high-class young lady.
She could have just made a more direct approach, however, she was too prideful to do so. Until she noticed the time on her watch. 'Tsk. I'm running out of time...'
Eventually, afternoon recess arrived.
Aria-san stood up from her desk and walked toward my spot, about to approach and reach out to me. We even met eyes for a brief moment.
However, just before she could reach out to me, about to open her mouth, I averted my gaze and proceeded to walk away as if pretending not to notice her.
Then, it finally hit her.
'So, he's intentionally ignoring me. Huh…'
Though she felt down about her speculation being true, she couldn't help but feel irritated and clicked her tongue "tsk", as though the feeling of being betrayed, and a sense of disappointment ran through her as nothing was going the way she wanted.

[Aria Tamami's POV.]
I stepped out of the classroom, loitering the door close to the other classroom. I was waiting to meet up with a certain someone.
Eventually, a girl from next door stepped out and came to meet me at the door.
Her name is Mei Doichi, my personal maid.
I've known her for many years, she's a maid assigned to me by my parents since childhood.
In contrast to when she was acting while inside the next-door classroom, showing a sociable and cheerful attitude around other students, the moment she noticed my presence, she excused herself, stepping out of the classroom and switched to her working mode, holding back her emotions as she enters her servant mode.
The reason she was placed in the next classroom over instead with with me was so that I won't feel suffocated being watch 24/7. A sense of liberty I would say, not just for me but for the both of us.
I always wondered what it would be like to attend a normal school for common people, no politics and those high society bull crap involve. I bet Mei feels the same way as well.
Due to the majority of our life being joined together, even our life in school was set in this master servant relationship. I wanted to share and let her experience having a normal school life as well. Though I won't admit to that due to it being mainly for my benefit. So don't misunderstand.
"Aria-sama, I came to make my report." she informed me.
Since I placed her in a different classroom, I wanted to get from an outsider's perspective, overlaying it on top of what I gathered within my own classroom, gathering as much intel as I can about a boy named Yukiya Saito, the person of our goal who I came here for.
"Go ahead,"
Giving her permission to speak, she opened her mouth and spoke,
"Not much information was available about Yukiya Saito. However, it seems that for some reason, people believe he's a transfer student who came just in this semester." Mei relayed the information I asked for her to gather.
"Eh, why is that so? His student profile says otherwise..."
I placed my hand on my chin, pondering why Yukiya Saito is pretending to be a transfer student, though his classmates were aware he's not.
"I'm not sure, but… maybe this is what they call a summer debut." Mei explained, "A case where one being dissatisfied of his previous image, coming back entirely different as their ideal self."
"I see…"
I guess it makes sense they wouldn't know much about him if he's pretending to be someone different.
"Is that all?"
I inquired Mei if that's all she knows.
"Ah, also. I just happened to overhear, but a girl in our class told Mr. Yukiya Saito to meet them behind the old abandoned school later after classes ended." Mei deducted that, "If my assumptions are correct, it could be a confession."
"A confession…?"
I think I know this… even in Eden Academy, it's popular to receive love confessions in a secluded place, so when rejection arrives, it wouldn't be as embarrassing for the intiating party.
I can confirm because I have been confessed to a number of times already, but I rejected them all with cold glares because I knew they must have wanted to use the Tamami's name. Something to brag about.
Those are just probable attempts filled with personal benefit intentions. Though, I couldn't really say I wasn't the same as well.
My curiosity grew, 'If he were to accept that confession, it would naturally lead to dating.' And if so, how could there be someone better of an option than me?
"Just why didn't he accept." I mumbled to myself, wondering that maybe.
'Has he already forgotten about me...?"
Just thinking about it, somewhat makes me feel a little bit disappointed.
