Gong Xin couldn't agree with Gu Zi's calm demeanor. Gu Zi seemed far too nonchalant about everything, and after the whole Lin Miao incident, Gong Xin felt she had every right to be on edge. Now that she had seen through Mo Li's little schemes, there was no time to sit back and do nothing.
"This is a catastrophe!" Gong Xin declared dramatically, waving her hands in the air. "I don't care what anyone says, I am not letting another bizarre woman into our family! I need to go back and keep an eye on Mo Li. I'm leaving now!"
With that, she grabbed the food box tighter and hurried off.
It was a stroke of luck—or perhaps fate—that she returned just in time. Mo Li had gone to the hospital cafeteria, borrowed their kitchen, and prepared a meal that she was just about to hand over to Gong Zhan when Gong Xin stormed in.
