The next day, I got ready for the day and walked out of my bedroom. I noticed a figure of a person in front of me then their neck snapped and rushed toward me. I tripped them and watched them fall.
"You're gonna—nngh!!" I started then grunted when Skittles pounced on me, causing me to fall.
Skittles meowed and sat on my back then shrunk down to a realistic size. She licked her paw and cleaned herself.
"Get..off of me.." I groaned.
Skittles looked at me then hopped off my back then walked off with a meow. I stood up and dusted myself off then heard running down the hall.
"We got you Dad!" Candy giggled.
I looked at Candy then sighed. I smiled and ruffled her hair. "You didn't scare me, but you did sneak up on me...but I think it's time we scare your Mom now."
Candy looked at me then nodded. I told her the plan and she agreed to it then we made a deal. If we managed to scare Estella, I would take Candy out to buy her all the candy she wanted. We set out to put out plans in motion.
I groaned and fell onto the floor. Estella hurried over to me and noticed me on the floor.
"Daddy!" Candy cried out and hurried to me.
I grunted and rolled over on my back and a red stain was visible on my stomach that looked like blood.
"Oh my god, what happened?!" Estella said in shock and concern.
"One of those creatures hit me too hard and I think...they hit a vital spot.." I grunted and winced in pain.
"Dad!" Candy hurried to me. "Daddy, please get up!"
Estella hurried to my aid and looked worried. She held me and grunted. "I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean for this to happen.."
"It's okay, my love...I forgive you.." I said softly and raised my hand then pointed to the left.
Estella looked over and Reeses pounced at her. She squeaked and grunted when Reeses latched onto her face. She pulled him off her face and grunted. She huffed and blew some of her hair out of her face then spit out some fur.
I laughed and held my stomach. "The look on your face when Reeses jumped on you! Okay that was good!"
Candy laughed too. "Mom, it's just taffy candy made to look like blood!~"
Estella looked slightly annoyed. "Hey! I'm supposed to be the one scaring you! Not you scaring me with the little traitor!" Estella exclaimed, throwing a bit of a fit.
"Hey! He offered me an outing with a bunch of candy involved!" Candy said.
"I gave you life outside of the Underworld and you thank me like this?" Estella asked. She smirked and giggled. "Alright...I've got something...for you!"
Estella lunged at Candy. Candy squealed and began laughing as Estella began to tickle her. I watched them and smiled then stood up. I chuckled softly and smiled at their happiness.

"Alright, babe. We're heading out." I said then kissed Estella's lips.
She kissed back and pulled away then held her arms. "Okay, be careful alright?"
"Are you sure you don't want to come with? I'll even spoil you as well." I said.
Estella didn't necessarily hate the idea of going outside. It was just that her part time Idol job made her gain so much traction to where the attention is unbearable at times. She decided to cave in and spend time with us.
"Alright, I'll go." Estella said then her outfit changed into a white long sleeve turtleneck sweater and black leggings with brown boots.
"Is everyone ready?" I asked.
"Yeah!" Candy said excitedly.
"I am ready." Estella smiled and nodded.
"Skittles! Reeses! Let's go!" Candy said and her cats hurried toward her and hopped into her bag.
I walked toward the door and opened it. Candy hurried out of the door and Estella followed. I walked out after and closed the door then locked it. Candy hurried to my car and waited for me to unlock it. I unlocked my car and we all got in. I started it and began to drive out the parking lot.
Estella began to play music and smiled. I let down the windows and Candy stuck her head out. She held her bag high enough so Skittles and Reeses could look out the window as well.
"Wow...So this is what being a human feels like now. It must be nice being human huh, Daddy?" Chloe asked.
"I guess. When you're targeted by nearly every demon because of my Human Soul it drains the joy out of me, but I've pushed through with the help of Estella." I said and chuckled softly.
Chloe looked at me and Estella. She noticed how we were holding hands while I drove.
"Yesterday, Mama said called you her husband. How long have you been married?" Chloe asked.
"Well we are only engaged. It's kinda hard to find a set date to hold our wedding because nearly everyday we are attacked, but he already considers me his wife so it's only fair I acknowledge him as my husband." Estella explained.
"Hm hm! I understand." Chloe smiled and nodded.
"We will be reaching the mall in about ten minutes." I said and checked my GPS.
"Yay!~" Chloe said happily and her cats meowed.

I parked my car in the mall parking lot then we got out. We walked toward the entrance together with both me and Estella holding Candy's hand.
"Wow, she's so cute.." One person said.
"It's Perfect Priscilla and her husband. Is that their secret daughter..?!" A woman asked in shock.
I noticed a few people looking at us. They were now curious about Candy as well instead of just being surprised by seeing me and Estella together.
"You two are certainly famous. You're an idol, Mama?" Candy asked.
"Only part time." Estella smiled.
"And you, Dad? I know you work an office job, but you're also pretty famous." Candy said.
"I do host a podcast with a few of my friends on my off days called Life of the Ordinary. It's pretty famous and people know me as the Ordinary Roy." I said and smiled.
"A double life must be hard huh?" Candy asked.
"Make it a triple life now. My wife and friends, fighting off demons, and now I have a daughter in the equation." I said.
"I promise to not make your life too difficult!~" Candy smiled.
"That's reassuring..~" I chuckled softly.
We walked inside of the mall and began to visit nearly every candy store we could find. As promised, I let Candy get whatever she wanted from the various stores we visited. We ended up carrying ten bags of candy.
"Geez, I know I promised whatever you wanted, but come on. Why do you need all of this?" I asked as I carried half of the bags.
"Because candy actually makes me stronger. When I fight, my abilities take a lot of energy from me so I use candy to refuel. Also by converting my caloric intake into energy, I grow significantly stronger." Candy explained.
"Geez you must've burned hella calories over the years then." I said.
"I've been living off my own powers. My favorite ability, Candify, allows me to turn anything I shoot with my wand into candy! Like that one pink character from Dragon Ball!" Candy said.
"Also when I consume enough candy, I can go into a Sugar Rush mode which makes me ten times stronger but burns my calories a lot faster." Candy said.
"Hm. Interesting. It seems legit enough to me." I said.
We continued our stroll around the mall and visited all the stores Estella wanted to go to but we ended up doing note window shopping than we did actually buying things. That all changed when we entered a jewelry store.
I looked at my arms and began to get goosebumps. I looked at Estella.
"It's fine. I know her." Estella smiled and walked forward. "Sister Gabrielle! I didn't know you worked today!"
Gabrielle was one of Estella's good friends. Although Estella was a Fallen Angel, she still got along well with the Angels of Heaven, even being able to freely speak with the Messiah.
Gabrielle smiled at Estella and nodded. "I'm just blending in. I heard about the many battles you and your husband faced and won. It must be hard having to deal with stuff like that instead of being able to spend time with him."
"Yeah, but we always manage to get done with things quickly. Oh yeah, by the way! This is our daughter, Candy." Estella said and introduced Candy.
Candy looked at Gabrielle and tilted her head. Gabrielle smiled at Candy and waved. Candy smiled and waved back sweetly.
"So, do you have any more Heavenly Weapons for my husband today?" Estella asked.
"Yes, the Spear of Vel. It is a Divine Weapon used by an old powerful Genesis Angel named Vel. She wasn't as powerful as Michael, but she did have the power to field holy flames. I also have the Shield of Truth." Gabrielle said and placed two boxes on the glass counter.
We heard a chuckle and turned back to see a demon leaned against the wall. He had short messy black hair with white edges, red eyes, and a demon symbol around his left eye. He had pointed ears with black earrings in his ear. He wore a fishnet top with a black jacket with a fur collar, black pants and shoes.
"I knew following you would lead me to something good." The man said. He walked forward then dashed toward Gabrielle.
I tried to grab my cross from my pocket but he kicked me away and I groaned. I slid backwards then Estella ran toward the man. He went for a punch, but she blocked it then kneed his stomach. He groaned then grunted as he was kicked backwards.
The man chuckled and landed on his feet. The Pride Symbol shined on his chest. He summoned gauntlets on his hand then dashed toward Estella. He aimed a punch at her face, but she blocked it then grunted as he broke through her guard.
Candy yelled and struck the man's stomach with her lollipop. He grunted then grabbed the stick of her weapon then pulled Candy toward him. He grabbed her face and used his Demon Sense on her.
"A Purified Demon. I knew you were going to betray us one day. Might as well end you." The man said then prepared to deal the killing blow to Candy. Candy screamed as the man went for the killing blow.
Estella witnessed it and something within her spirit snapped then her dark gold aura surged powerfully around her body. A purplish black halo formed over her head then her black angel wings emerged from her back.
The man noticed and stopped his attack. He looked at Estella and smirked. "The Warrior Nun decides to show her true strength huh."
"Drop her. NOW!" Estella commanded.
The man felt her Divine Presence and her cross began shining brightly. He set Candy down and smirked. He looked at Estella then cracked his knuckles. "You're lucky I'm only here for the Heavenly Weapons. Your husband does not need any more weapons from Heaven. So let's make our lives easier and just hand them over."
"Over my dead body." I said and caught the necklaces Gabrielle tossed toward me. The necklaces shined then transformed into their respective weapons.
In my left hand I wielded the Spear of Vel, a red spear with a large red blade and six branches. In my right hand I wielded the Shield of Truth, a silver shield with a cross design on the front. I twirled my spear in a circle then got into my battle stance.
"So you think you can defeat me, human? With mere unawakened weapons?" The man said.
I smirked and lowered my posture then dashed toward him at my top speed then thrusted my spear at him. He dodged and countered with a quick jab that was intercepted by Skittles. She struck the man with her hind legs, knocking the man upwards. Estella used her chains to pull the man back down then Candy twirled forward three times before swinging her lollipop at the man, striking him and blowing him away.
I walked forward then noticed a horde of lesser demons being summoned. I cracked my neck then scoffed. I ran forward then dodged the first demon and began to slice numerous demons in half with my lance. I jumped up up and landed on Reeses. He let out a powerful meow then began thrashing about, defeating multiple demons.
Estella and Candy rode on Skittles and Candy fired orbs of volatile candy at the demons, killing then with the explosions they caused. The man appeared in front of Estella and kicked her off Skittles, sending her crashing into a wall.
He fired a beam of demonic energy at her. I ran in front of Estella and blocked the beam then grunted as it caused an explosion, blowing me away.
"Xander!" Estella called out.
I slowly stood up and the cross tattoo on my back shined then I bellowed and my weapons shined as I generated angelic energy from within my spirit. I propelled myself toward the man and thrusted my spear at him.
He dodged again, but I learned from last time and hit him with my shield then pivoted into a direct hit on his leg. He groaned and grunted when Estella punched his face with a powerful punch. He flew backwards and Estella whipped her chains around the man then released angelic energy from the chains.
"Now you will be purified!" Estella bellowed and noticed his body wasn't shining.
The man chuckled and broke out of the the chains and the Pride Symbol on his chest shined brighter. He began laughing. "Your purification can't work on me!"
"Heavenly Father, please heed thy call..." Gabrielle said and began to pray.
The man walked toward Estella and chuckled. "I am a demon unlike the other Urban Demons. I am a demon from Hell, one of Lucifer's best. I am Hubris, the Pride Incarnate!"
Candy clutched her lollipop tightly and glared. Estella braced herself and watched Hubris. I stared at Hubris then noticed a light shining behind Hubris. Hubris groaned as a holy fireball hit his back. He grunted as he began to burn. He looked back and noticed an archangel behind him.
The archangel was a woman wearing a white dress and a white veil. Her halo was golden and her wings were the purest of red. She summoned her book and it began to flip through multiple pages then she fired a beam of flames at Hubris.
Hubris groaned as he was burned by the holy flames then retreated. The flames disappeared and the woman closed her book and disappeared.
"Who was that?" Candy asked.
"That was Urielle. She saved us from Hubris.." Estella said then sighed.
"I hope you three are okay!" Gabrielle said and waved at us with a smile.
I nodded and my weapons turned back into necklaces. Candy sighed and fell back then Skittles caught her. Estella smiled and closed her eyes.
Even during a normal outing we are attacked, but as always we handled the situation and had assistance from Gabrielle. Hubris did make a good point about my weapons, none of them are awakened and I didn't know how to exactly awaken them, but soon I will learn to until then there isn't anything I can do other than trust in my abilities and in Estella.
