Chapter 1 - Temptations and intervention

Izuku Midoriya was far from happy. As the green-haired boy trudged through yet another mundane Tuesday, a cloud of melancholy seemed to hang over him. Some would label him as depressed, while others dismissed him as useless. But deep down, Izuku understood his truth—a truth that weighed heavily on his carnivorous nature. He got up and greeted Kirishima with a forced smile, his eyes betraying the turmoil within. "Hey man, are you good?" Kirishima asked, his voice filled with genuine concern. Izuku took a moment to collect himself before responding, "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, masking the inner turmoil that threatened to consume him.

Kirishima a golden retriever he was the complete opposite of Izuku his undying loyalty and positivity almost blind Izuku. He looked around the room and noticing most of his roomates weren't there. He asked Kirishima "Where is everyone" in a low growl like sound.God even his voice sounded menacing."They left already I was waiting for you". "Oh," Izuku responded, his voice returning to its usual tone as he glanced at the clock. It was nearly 8:00 am, and he realized he had been waiting for Kirishima to wake up so they could walk to class together. Hurriedly, Izuku got up, swiftly brushing his teeth and washing his face before stepping into the shower.

After getting dressed, Izuku hurriedly made his way to class with Kirishima by his side. They settled into their seats, ready to listen to the professor's lecture. As Izuku focused on the lesson, he struggled to push aside the thoughts of his own inner struggles and maintain his focus on his studies.

Out of all the things God could have made Bakugou, why in the world did it have to be a goddamn rabbit? It was a cruel joke that didn't align with his explosive, arrogant personality in the slightest. No matter how hard he tried to be menacing, it was a futile endeavor that only ended in comical failure.

He begrudgingly met up with his usual "friends" (or rather, the closest thing he had to friends) — Mina and Shoji. As they gathered, Bakugou's eyes narrowed, noticing that Mina's horns had grown taller, as if her gazelle traits were starting to manifest. It was an intriguing sight that sparked a mix of curiosity and irritation within him.

"You should shave those fucking horns," Bakugou snapped, his anger simmering at the sight of them. His words dripped with frustration, a misguided attempt to assert control in the face of this absurdity.

Mina, never one to hold back, retorted with a playful smirk, "You know, for such a cute rabbit, you're always so hostile." Her voice carried a teasing edge, refusing to be intimidated by his brash demeanor.

Sensing the escalating tension, Shoji, the calm and adaptable chameleon, stepped in to defuse the situation. "Calm down, guys. It's too early in the morning for this," he urged, hoping to bring some semblance of harmony to their interactions.

Leaving their bickering behind, they proceeded to the Herbivore Trait lessons, ready to delve into the intricacies of their unique animal natures and the challenges they would face in a world where the boundaries between predator and prey blurred.

After class, Izuku headed to the bustling cafeteria, joining Tokoyami (A raven), Kirishima, and Shoto (A cheeta) at their usual table. As they sat down, engrossed in discussions about video games, anime, and the latest gossip, Tokoyami's dark head turned towards Izuku, a hint of concern in his voice.

"Midoriya, are you feeling alright?" Tokoyami asked, his deep voice capturing everyone's attention. Izuku felt a sudden spotlight on him, triggering a familiar discomfort. He never sought attention.

"I'm fine," Izuku replied, his voice betraying a hint of unease. "Just need to use the bathroom." He excused himself, aware of his friends' genuine worry. As panic gripped him inside the bathroom, Izuku couldn't escape the haunting thoughts that plagued his mind. He stared at his own reflection, his eyes filled with turmoil. "You want flesh, don't you?" the reflection seemed to taunt him.

"No!" Izuku shouted, his voice trembling with defiance. "I don't want to eat meat!" He fought against the primal desires that surged within him, determined to resist the instincts that threatened to consume him.

"Why not have a taste of what you could be?" his inner beast continued to tempt him. "For seventeen long years, you've starved yourself from flesh, but-"

Before the reflection could finish its sentence, Izuku's fist collided with the mirror, shattering the glass. He let out a frustrated sigh as he examined his palm, relieved to find no blood. Being a wolf had its advantages, after all.

Bakugou made his way to the herbivore section of the cafeteria, quickly grabbing some food before deciding to eat outside. As he sat alone, engrossed in his meal, a group of boys, consisting of a mongoose, a meerkat, and a groundhog, approached him with malicious intent.

"What the fuck do you want?" Bakugou tried to sound menacing, even though deep down, he knew his attempts were feeble. The group of bullies continued to advance, unfazed by his weak facade. The leader stepped forward, his voice dripping with arrogance, "If you don't want to get hurt, I suggest you give us your money."

Bakugou placed his tray down, his frustration mounting. He cracked his knuckles, attempting to exude intimidation, but the effect was far from convincing. Nevertheless, he refused to back down. The group of boys chuckled at his failed intimidation, grabbing him by the collar, ready to assert their dominance through physical force.

Just as the situation seemed bleak, the cheetah teacher appeared on the scene, startling the bullies. "What are you doing here?" the teacher's voice boomed with authority, causing the boys to scatter in fear. As they hastily retreated, the cheetah teacher turned to Bakugou, concern etched on their face.

"Are you okay?" the teacher asked, their voice laced with genuine worry. Bakugou nodded, brushing off the incident with a dismissive wave. But deep down, he felt a surge of frustration and self-doubt. He couldn't help but question his own strength and perceived weakness in the face of adversity.

The bell rang, signaling the start of a new class. Bakugou's emotions churned within him as he headed to his next lesson. off the lingering feeling of inadequacy, a sense of being pathetic.

As the final class ended, Izuku informed Tokoyami, Kirishima, and Todoroki that he needed some time alone and decided to take a walk outside. What was meant to be a short breather turned into a prolonged wander, as the hours passed and the daylight gave way to nightfall.

Finding solace on a staircase near a classroom entrance, Izuku sat down, examining and inhaling the surrounding air. Suddenly, a distinct aroma reached his sensitive nose—a scent of a rabbit.

Unbeknownst to Izuku, Bakugou had also sought refuge in the same vicinity, seeking solace from the day's events. He noticed a dark figure in the distance, triggering his instincts to flee. Acting on pure survival instinct, he began to run, but he didn't get far.

Izuku's carnivorous nature took control, and he lunged at his unsuspecting prey. The inner beast within him whispered malicious intent, tempting him to indulge in the taste of rabbit flesh. Izuku struggled, attempting to resist the temptation, but his willpower faltered. "Just a bite," he murmured, his mouth opening wide as he prepared to sink his teeth into his quarry.

In that moment, Bakugou resigned himself to his fate. He could feel the carnivore's grip tightening around him, preparing to devour him. Accepting the impending end, he whispered a desperate plea, "God, please, in my next life, make me a carnivore." He braced himself for the final moments.

But before Izuku could take that fatal bite, the sound of approaching footsteps caught his attention. "Midoriya, Midoriya!" a voice called out, unknowingly disrupting the impending tragedy. Startled, Izuku released his grip on Bakugou, leaving a scratch on the latter's left arm as he recoiled.

Gasping for breath, Bakugou realized he had been spared from his grisly fate. Confusion mixed with relief flooded his thoughts as he tried to comprehend the unexpected turn of events. His arm throbbed from the scratch. He ran and didn't look back.
