We enter the huge banquet hall and as always, Cornelius is well received by his constituents. There are claps and cheers while he waves to the room.
"Thank you all," he says, a jovial smile on his face as we reach the front of the hall. "Thank you for coming and enjoying this night with us."
In the original story, Lady Eliana rules alongside him. As they spend time together, she learned to love Cornelius' strength, power and intelligence.
I try to mimic it, despite not feeling the same thing. Still, I cannot deny that Cornelius is a sight to behold while he is fully and completely surrounded by his people.
"We are here tonight to celebrate the alliance of two nations and the importance of friendship between our people," he says while holding my hand.
The crowd erupts in applause once more. I can feel the love and admiration for Cornelius by his subjects, and he seems to enjoy basking in it as well.
