I watch as he takes a sharp intake of air. I can even see relief pass through his features — as if afraid. He reaches towards me and caresses my cheeks. And then, when I thought he's going to kiss me, he embraced me instead.
"You have no idea how much I've wanted to see your face with desire for me again, Lyrica. Oh god, I was so afraid…"
Fifteen seconds pass. This magic will only last for a minute. I need to make the moment count.
I reach out to him and hug him back. I bury my face in his chest and there, I still cannot hear his heartbeats. He is still a damn liar.
"I told you, in this lifetime, you will always have my love," I whisper.
I am such a damn liar as well.
He pulls back and looks at my face. "Will you marry me this time, then? Like really marry me?"
I nod and smile at him, reaching up to his hand that's cupping my cheeks.
"Yes, I will gladly have you as my husband," I reply in the sweetest tone I can manage.
