'Wake up, Lyrica. You need to wake up.'
It sounds like a familiar voice, but a voice that I cannot place a face on. It feels like some long forgotten person, but I am sure I have not forgotten anyone important. Heck, Calais even stirs me even after all the things he has done against me.
"Lyrica! You should wake up!"
I bolt upright from sleep. It's as if my body is awake even before my consciousness is — which is weird. I glance at my amulet. It's still there, my magic is still nullified, so what is that voice? A warning, perhaps?
I look around the room. It's eerily quiet. Calais is sleeping soundly on the other bed, his face looking peaceful in his sleep. The room is clean and tidy too, but there is some kind of mist seeping through the cracks of the door.
I get up from the bed and move towards Calais. I touch his shoulders and shake him.
"Hmmm," he mumbles in his sleep.
