I walk down the aisle towards Prince Cornelius, who is waiting for me on the altar. It will be our wedding, and soon, we will be coronated as the new King and Queen of Cairns Kingdom. His other official concubines, Lady Eliana and Lady Sherri, are on the side, watching me as I come closer to them.
I am holding a bouquet of flowers as I fix my eyes in front. It is so bright. The sunlight is peeking through the glass windows and the citizens are saying that it's a good omen even if they don't like me. Somehow, their love for Cornelius has overridden their dislike of me.
So, I take a deep breath while making sure that my eyes don't wander in search for Calais, in fear that I start to imagine that I am getting wed to him instead.
