Synopsis
The story starts with the ML sitting in bathwater fully clothed, and in front him is a girl, who is sitting with him in the bath, also fully dressed. Her dissociated expression and unresponsiveness despite having her eyes wide open gives him a shiver down his spine. How did our protagonist and this girl get here, and why aren't the both of them wanting to leave the bath at this moment? As our protagonist's life sends him on an uncharted path of the human experience, no matter what lessons he learns, no amount of knowledge or wisdom can prepare him for the chaos that reality can bare.

Chapter 1 - DrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrum

*splash*

As I feel the ripples of bathwater hit against my body, and the damp clothes I wear stick to me like glue, the face of the girl who sits across from me in the same bath has lifeless eyes.

...

That's all I can say about this situation. I have nothing to think about, all I can do is observe what is right in front of me.

She's just staring at me in this moment of silence, unmoving.

Whatever she may be, I still feel as though everything that's happening right now is wrong. Everything in my life until now forces me to ask questions such as:

Has she done something like this before?

Exactly why is it that she isn't shaking in fear from the situation we are in?

However, even though my body has yet to catch up with my mind, I know for a fact, that common sense doesn't apply to whatever it is she is. So much so that maybe even referring to 'It' as a 'She' could be insulting if I'm not careful.

But, none of that matters right now.

I need to be able to at least survive this, somehow. I must see another tomorrow.

...

*DrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrumDrum*

The fast beats of that 'thing' is closely approaching. It sounds like a single drumset being played by a multi-hundred-handed musician, distorting the melody into a glitching vibration.

My heart beats faster and faster, for I have never heard such a noise, let alone a noise that would be listening out for me.

I tense my body up, trying not to move a muscle, holding my neck still, too afraid that even attempting to look away from the girl by turning my head would reveal our location.

I can't help but feel a pain in my chest when I think about the uncertainty of when all of this madness will end, and how long it could take before I can finally go back to a normal life.

How many tomorrows do I have left? Three?

*Splash*, it's so cold that the rest of my wet body that isn't submerged in the water can't stop shivering.

We'll both run out of tomorrows at this rate.
