Chapter 20 - Food Stall is Trending on Weibo

"Yo, dude! You won't believe it, but there's this smoking hot chick working at the food stall on Bei street in the southern district. She's so gorgeous, even the movie stars can't compete with her!"

"Ha! You're pulling my leg, man. No way she's that gorgeous. And she's just a waitress? And from the southern district? Come on, don't mess with us."

"Seriously, bro. If you don't believe me, come with me to Bei street and see for yourself."

"Alright, let's go check out this supposed goddess and see if she's really all that."

"Check out this pic I snapped yesterday," another young boy said, showing a blurry photo to his group.

"Whoa, even though photo is kinda blurry to see, that girl must be a total babe."

"Dude, she's not just a babe, she's a freakin' goddess. She works as a waitress at this food stall on Bei street in the southern district."

"No way, I gotta go check her out for myself!"

The southern district high school was abuzz with chatter about the stunning Lin Chang. Yet, She remained tirelessly toiling away in her food stall's kitchen.

Initially, curious onlookers flocked to her stall solely to catch a glimpse of the famed beauty. However, upon discovering that Lin Bao was the one manning the table, some were tempted to leave. That is, until they caught a whiff of the mouth-watering aromas wafting from the stall.

The food was a feast for the eyes when it was delivered, with vibrant colours and tantalizing textures that beckoned to be savored. Those who had arrived as Lin Chang's admirers left as devoted fans of her delectable cuisine.

As the clock struck 12 noon, Lin Chang emerged from the kitchen with a flourish. "Greetings, esteemed customers," she announced, her voice ringing out across the bustling food stall. "I am aware that you have been waiting patiently for your meals and I'm taking your extra time, and for that, I apologize. However, I have a proposition for you all." She paused for a moment, her eyes scanning the young crowd before her. "Many of you possess a vast Weibo followeing, do you not?" She continued. "Well, I implore you to use your influence to support our small food stall. If you enjoy our dishes, simply snap a photo of your meal, savor its delicious flavors, and then post your review on Weibo. Be sure to include our stall's name and address, along with our special hashtag." Lin Chang's eyes twinkled as she leaned in closer to the crowd. "And as a token of our appreciation, we will offer you a complimentary beverage of your choice" With that, Lin Chang retreated back into the kitchen, leaving her uncle Lin Bao to serve the eagerly awaiting customers.

The bustling eatery was abuzz with the chatter of young customers from the neighboring high school who were discussing Lin Chang this morning. They had flocked here during their lunch break, all abuzz with talk of Lin Chang's stunning beauty that had left them spellbound earlier the other day. Even the skeptics among them were left reeling in disbelief at the sight of her devastatingly gorgeous features. And just when they thought they couldn't be more impressed, the food arrived, leaving them wondering if they had stumbled upon a secret five-star restaurant.

"Chang, what was that?" Lin Lisha inquired, her fingers fumbling over the ingredients as she struggled to keep up with the skilled movements of her mentor. It was her first day of training under Lin Chang, and she was still learning the delicate art of proportionate cutting.

"Mom, trust me on this one. This is going to be a game-changer for us. High school students are the key to unlocking a whole new level of social media exposure. Just wait and see the results tomorrow," Chang replied confidently, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

Lin Lisha just smiled, she trusted her daughter, "Chang, you're still in high school too, right? You're soon going to join your last semester, why don't you call them here sometime?," Lin Lisha asked in anticipation.

As she thought back to her time living with Yun Chun, she had never invited any of his friends over, and Lin Lisha had been forbidden from attending any school events or parent-teacher meetings.

"Mom, I don't have any friends for now, but when I have, I'll definitely bring them back" Lin Chang smiled at her mother.

As Expected Lin Lisha's food stall had become the talk of the town, with eager customers lining up for hours just to get a taste of her delectable dishes. The buzz on Weibo was palpable, and even food bloggers couldn't resist the allure of her culinary creations. It wasn't just Lin Chang's stunning looks that drew the crowds, but the mouth-watering meals that she served up with flair and finesse.

As the demand for her food grew, Lin Lisha had to hire additional staff to keep up with the rush. And while Lin Chang had received her new laptop and gadgets, she was too busy training Lin Lisha to even think about setting them up. But with Lin Lisha's natural talent and eagerness to learn, it wasn't long before she had mastered the art of cooking, cutting, and even garnishing her dishes with artistic flair.

"Uncle, do you think it's time for us to upgrade from this small food stall?" Lin Chang inquired, munching on some delectable snacks. It was the final day of her stint at the food stall, and Lin Lisha had completed her training. The stall was closed for the day.

"I agree, but where do you suggest we look for a new restaurant?" Lin Bao inquired, reclining on the sofa.

"Mom, what's your take on this?" Lin Chang turned to Lin Lisha, who was glued to her phone, her face etched with concern, as if trying to reach out to someone. "Mom, what's wrong?" Lin Chang inquired, her voice laced with genuine concern.

"I'm just trying to get in touch with a friend, but it seems like she's preoccupied and not answering my calls." Lin Lisha tried to shrug off the topic.

Lin Bao immediately understood and changed the topic, "Chang, didn't you just get a new laptop? Why don't you start setting it up?"

Lin Chang's eyes lit up with excitement at the prospect of tinkering with her new gadget. Without hesitation, she darted off to her room.

Lin Lisha's voice trembled as she spoke, "He's not answering the phone, Bao. I'm so worried." Tears streamed down her face, betraying her fear and anxiety.

"Did you tell him about Lin Chang?" Lin Bao inquired, his voice calm and steady.

"I did. But he didn't seem to react much. He just said he was busy and couldn't come," Lin Lisha replied, wiping away her tears.

Lin Bao placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder before retreating to his room. He knew what he had to do.
