Synopsis
They taint our streets. They walk among us, wearing those nightmarish pieces of cloth over their eyes. They are an insult to our very being. Why the priests deemed them innocent, I will never know. But one thing I do know; They are the spawn of the devil. For no man should hold such power.

Chapter 1 - Prologue: Death walks

Gral walked slowly along the dirt road that passed through the city Talish. The city was a empty, as if the the buildings themselves held their breath at his passing. He did not wear a cloth over his eyes, unlike the rest of his kin. He had no need to hide his eyes, he was death. Death did not hide.

Unfortunately, he was growing old. Despite his strength, it was time to pass on his burden. The burden of his people. He had spent hundreds of years paving the way towards freedom, but despite his efforts, the people of this world would always despise the Anari people. Mankind feared what it could not understand. Gral had harnessed that fear, it's was the source of his strength.

Movement. Gral stoped in the road. Standing motionless.

"Do not hid like a snake in the presence of a hawk." Gral said in a loud voice. "Come out and accept your punishment, less this entire city will suffer my wrath." Slowly, a spindly man walked out from an alley. It was hard to see his face in this dark fog, but Gral could feel the man's fear.

"Look into my eyes." Gral said, voice hard. The man started whimper, his body shaking in fear. Gral took a step towards the man.

"Please!" The man pleaded, "We've done nothing." Gral now stood directly in front of the man, who was now on his knees. He grabbed the man by his hair and pulled him to his feet.

"Done nothing!" Gral said furious. "You mortals have shamed and massacred the Anari people! You force them to hide their gifts behind cloth, and cast them out on the streets!" Gral took the man's head and forced him to meat his eyes. The pale faced man's terrified expression was lit by the red glow of Gral's eyes.

"Fear me mortal" Gral said as the man's skin turned to ash. "I am your reckoning, I am your demise. I am death." Gral looked up from what was now a pile of ash. Then continued to walk down the dirt road. "You will all pay for your sins." Gral whispered. "I will see the day when my people rule over this world."
