"Welcome to the house of death!" Zane said as he parked his car right in front of the house.
"Is it called that, or did you just make that up?" I asked out of fear, hoping that he made that up to scare me, I was already shitting my pants.
"Oh no, it's actually called that." He stared at me with wide eyes waiting for my reaction, and normally I would know he is lying about it and that he made such a thing up, but I am in fear state right now ;therefore, I will believe anything horrifying anyone has to say.
"Shall we get in? The ghosts won't wait all day long." He said after opening the door at my side.
"I will block you after this." I declared, deep down the both of us know that I don't have the heart to actually block him.
Now that we are both out of the old car, we started walking towards the house and it only seems to get bigger and spookier as we get closer.
It was in the middle of nowhere. No one was around us to hear our screams, and it was just perfect for a murderer to kidnap someone and hold them hostage inside the house.
We were now standing right in front of the wooden door that seemed to come out of a horror movie.
Not me nor Zane dared to open the door, as it was drained in spider webs.
"So, aren't you going to open the door?" Zane said in a low voice that I could barely make out what he said.
"Not in a million years will I do that, you brought us here then you open that door!" I said with irritation.
He nodded his head and approached the door just to knock beforehand.
I couldn't hold my laughter any longer, I honestly never saw him this scared of something.
He looked at me with a mocking face to try and shut me up, and then he finally pushed open the door.
The place was a disaster, horrible odor filled the place, spider webs, fungi on every corner my eyes laid on.
It smelled like there is a dead body inside here.
"Listen, you search the top floor and I search the bottom floor." Zane instructed.
"Hell no, we are not splitting up, that's how every horror movie starts didn't you learn?" I accidently said with a loud enough voice that we could hear back an echo which caused the both of us to clench in place.
"Okay, okay if you say so." He murmured.
We both agreed to search the bottom floor first and we stumbled upon the first room, the kitchen.
He slowly opened the door and it made a creak sound to indicate that this door may be older in age than the both of us.
The kitchen seemed...well normal, only if you ignored all the living insects and fungi around ;however, the smell seemed way worse in here.
"I think the source of smell is definitely in here." Zane exclaimed.
"You think?" I mockingly asked.
Then, for some unknown reason, he started searching the worn-out out cabinets with his bare hands... his bare fricking hands.
"I thought we made an unsaid deal that we shouldn't touch anything!" I said while trying not to panic for him.
"We did?" He again giggled.
I wish I could prevent him from giggling for eternity.
We both were joking around until Zane opened one of the many cabinets, then we just stood still and stared at it with fear.
