Chapter 1 - Revenge

There was a village named "Ekanta" nestled in the heart of a dense forest. Damon, a young boy with a curious mind, lived with his grandpa and grandma in a small hut made of bamboo and mud. They were the only family he had, and he loved them to bits.

Damon was devastated when he found out that his parents had passed away from an unknown illness. He felt lost and alone in the small village of Ekanta Toll. However, he found solace in the company of Poki, a girl who also lived in the village. They would often hang out by the beach, enjoying the calming sound of the waves and the gentle breeze.

Poki had always lived in the village, but nobody knew where she came from or who her parents were. She had been found wandering in the forest when she was just a baby, and the villagers had taken her in and raised her as their own.

Now, at the age of sixteen, Poki was a beautiful young girl with long black hair and piercing green eyes. She was kind and gentle, with a heart full of love for the people who had taken care of her all these years.

Despite her unknown background, Poki had always felt like she belonged in the village.

Damon and poki likes to spend time with each other. As they spent more time together, Damon realized that he had developed feelings for Poki. He would steal glances at her whenever she wasn't looking and would blush whenever she would catch him staring. Damon couldn't help but wonder if Poki felt the same way about him.

Time flies.

In a sudden turn, Damon's grandfather's illness worsened. To aid his recovery, golden root, silverleaf, and moonbloom herbs was needed. Time was precious, and then grandma called Damon.

Grandmother: Damon, could you come here for a moment, dear?

Damon: Sure, Grandma. What do you need?

Grandmother: Your grandfather's condition has worsened, and I fear his illness is not showing any signs of improvement. I've been reading about some medicinal herbs that might help alleviate his symptoms. Would you be willing to venture into the jungle and gather them for me?

Damon: Of course, Grandma. I'll do anything to help Grandpa feel better. Which herbs do you need?

Grandmother: There are three specific herbs I need: the golden root, the silverleaf, and the moonbloom. They are known for their healing properties and can be found deep within the dense forest. But please be careful, Damon. The jungle can be treacherous, and I don't want you to get hurt.

Damon: Don't worry, Grandma. I'll be cautious and make sure to find those herbs for Grandpa. I'll bring Poki with me too. She knows the forest well, and her presence will make the journey safer.

Grandmother: That sounds like a good idea, Damon. Having Poki with you will indeed provide an extra layer of protection. But remember, dear, the jungle can be unpredictable. Watch out for any dangerous creatures and stay together.

Damon: I understand, Grandma. We'll stick together and be cautious. I won't take any unnecessary risks. I just want to help Grandpa get better.

Grandmother: I appreciate your determination, Damon. You've always been a caring and responsible young man. Take this bag; it has some provisions and medical supplies that you might need during your journey. And don't forget, once you find the herbs, bring them back immediately. Time is of the essence.

Damon: Thank you, Grandma. I'll be quick, I promise. We'll find those herbs and come back as soon as possible. Grandpa will get better, I know it.

Grandmother: I believe in you, Damon. Stay safe and take care of Poki too. She means a lot to us, just like you do.

On a bright morning, with determination in their hearts, Damon and Poki set off on their quest. The forest seemed alive, its vibrant green foliage rustling in the gentle breeze. The air was filled with the sweet scent of wildflowers and the distant songs of birds.

Damon, carrying a sturdy woven basket, spoke to Poki as they ventured deeper into the forest. "Poki, I hope we find the herbs quickly. Grandpa's condition is worsening, and grandma is so worried."

With renewed determination, Damon prepared himself for the journey into the jungle, hoping to find the elusive herbs that could potentially save his grandfather's life.

Poki nodded, his eyes sparkling with unwavering support. "Don't worry, Damon. We'll find the herbs. Remember, we used to explore this forest together as kids. We know every nook and cranny."

As they walked, the forest seemed to whisper tales of ancient magic and hidden wonders. Damon's imagination sparked with curiosity. "Poki, have you ever heard the legends about this forest? They say that deep within its heart, there's a hidden waterfall with water that can heal any ailment."

Poki's face lit up with excitement. "Oh, I've heard that too! They say only those with pure intentions can find it. Maybe we'll stumble upon it today."

Their conversation continued, weaving tales of mythical creatures and enchanted groves. They carefully navigated the labyrinthine paths, their footsteps blending with the symphony of nature. Damon's heart filled with hope, knowing that the herbs they sought could bring his grandpa relief.

After hours of searching, they stumbled upon a secluded glade bathed in dappled sunlight. The glade was abundant with various plants, their vibrant hues a feast for the eyes. "Look, Damon! This must be the place," Poki exclaimed, pointing to a cluster of delicate flowers known for "Silverleaf".

Damon smiled gratefully. "You're right, Poki. We've found it. Let's gather as many as we can."

Damon: Poki, be careful! There's the Silverleaf we were looking for. Let's gather it quickly.

Poki: I'll be careful, Damon. Just a few more leaves, and we can--

Snarling sounds and a wolf lunges at them

Damon: Run, Poki! We need to get away!

Poki: Ahh! Damon, help!

Damon grabs a thick branch and tries to fend off the wolf.

Damon: Stay back! Get away from her!

As Damon fights the wolf, Poki manages to find a small cave to hide in.

Poki: Damon, hurry! Over here!

Damon: breathing heavily Go, Poki! I'll distract the wolf and meet you there!

Poki rushes into the cave, while Damon continues to fend off the wolf with the branch

Damon: Come on, you beast! Leave us alone!

In the struggle, the wolf manages to bite Damon's arm, causing him to drop the branch

Damon: Argh! Get away!

Using the opportunity, Damon swiftly retreats toward the cave, but the wolf follows closely.

Poki: Damon, I can't hold it off much longer!

Damon: Poki, stay inside! I have an idea!

Damon quickly grabs a sharp rock and positions himself in front of the cave

Damon: Come on, you mangy creature!

The wolf charges at Damon, who sidesteps at the last moment, causing the wolf to crash into the sharp rock.

Poki: Damon, you did it!

Damon: We need to leave, Poki. Let's go deeper into the cave and see if we can find a way out.

As they make their way deeper into the cave, Poki starts to limp, clearly injured.

Damon: Poki, are you alright?

Poki: I twisted my ankle during the escape. It hurts, but I can manage.

Damon: Lean on me, Poki. I'll help you. We'll find a way out together.

Suddenly, the ground shakes, and rocks start falling, separating them.

Damon: Poki! No, we're trapped!

Poki: Damon, I can't see anything! What do we do?

Damon: Stay calm, Poki. I'll find another way out. Just stay where you are and call out if you hear anything.

Damon: Poki! where are you? We need to stick together!

Poki: Damon! I'm over here! But my ankle... it's too painful to move.

Damon: Don't worry, Poki, I'll find you. Just stay where you are. I won't leave you alone.

Damon frantically searches the surrounding area, calling out Poki's name.

Damon: Poki! Can you hear me? Please, answer me!

Poki: Damon, I'm trying... but it's hard to move. I'm so sorry.

Damon: It's not your fault, Poki. Just stay strong, I'll keep looking for you. We'll find a way out of here together.

As Damon continues his search, the dense forest seems to grow even more daunting.

Damon: Poki! Please, don't give up hope. I won't give up on you.

Poki: Damon... I wish I could reach you, but my ankle... it's too much.

Damon's heart sinks as he realizes the severity of the situation.

Damon: Hold on, Poki. I'll find a way to reach you, I promise.

Meanwhile, as Poki waits, a mysterious figure approaches her.

Mysterious Figure: Are you in need of assistance, young one?

Poki: Who... who are you?

Mysterious Figure: I am a traveler of these woods. I heard your cries for help. Let me aid you.

The mysterious figure assists Poki, helping her with her injured ankle.

Poki: Thank you... but my friend, Damon... he's still searching for me.

Mysterious Figure: Fear not. I shall guide you both back together. Lean on me, and we shall find your companion.

Back with Damon, he stumbles upon the lifeless body of a wolf, its fur drenched in blood.

Damon: What happened here? Poki!

Damon's heart races, and he runs towards the sound of Poki's voice.

Damon arrives at the scene, breathless and filled with dread. He sees Poki's lifeless body lying nearby, her head severed.

Damon: No... Poki! This can't be happening! Who could have done this?

As Damon looks around in anguish, he notices a symbol engraved nearby, the letters "C.G."

Damon: C.G.? What does this mean? Who would do such a thing?

Damon: Poki... sobs How could they do this to you? holds Poki's lifeless body and severed head I swear, with every ounce of hatred and vengeance in my heart, I will find those responsible. They will pay for what they've done to you, Poki. I promise.

Overwhelmed with grief, Damon screams out in anguish, tears streaming down his face.
