calm before the Strome.
when everyone in a room falls silent, I'm feeling as if time itself stands still, hanging in delicate suspense. suddenly the air grows heavy with anticipation, like the calm before an impending storm.
I can listen every individual's breath seems to echo in the hushed atmosphere, as if their very presence holds its breath in collective harmony. In this stillness, emotions simmer beneath the surface, ready to erupt like a tempestuous whirlwind.
Just like one of the moments that is pregnant with possibilities, where unspoken words and unexpressed thoughts linger, begging to be released. still, the silence pervades, wrapping its tendrils around each person, as if searching for solace or preparing for confrontation.
It is a captivating and haunting scene, akin to the pause before the chaos. as It's time unknowingly brace myself to stop the impending storm that will shatter the stillness and set emotions ablaze.
"stop glaring at me" I commanded, and sat on the couch near Mrs. Mehta, she reassured blinking her eyes. "I would have never visualized even in my dream. you're the daughter of Mr.Sharma." Turning my head towards the voice, It belongs to Yamini Mehta. at least one of them voiced out their thoughts.
Unfortunately "Yes." first time in my life, I want someone to speak or question back. this silence is damn awkward, I rather prefer an argument over this peace. "Why didn't you inform one of us you're the daughter of that son... "Please, don't you think it is enough for today?" I interrupted Anya Mehta, looking at her, seems like she is not at all pleased with my interruption. she instantly turned towards Akash. I don't want to defend Mr.Sharma. Let them assume for some days I love my father.
"It's all happened because of your stupidity. who will marry without even knowing their background."
he should be born again in the next life if he wants to know my background. no one can get my information without my knowledge and permission. "Akash." She hissed when he didn't reply. why this witch is trying to provoke him again, he had just calmed down after destroying the whole living room. whatever come in his sight, he just thrown on the ground, still, his knuckles are white. he is fuming inside.
"Maa, first time in his life he had done something smartly without realizing, just by marrying her." his uncle had spoken the first time after my father left. Akash just scoffed and instantly turned his gaze toward me. his gaze is enough to skip my heartbeat and my stomach started to drop.
"you're right, chaachoo." his smile is nowhere near giving me good vibes. even though I'm panicking inside, I rolled my eyes at him. "Then it's better to announce her to the world as daughter-in-law of Mehta's." Adarsh vocalized his opinion."you're right. It's our golden opportunity, to kill two birds with a single strike." I'm getting sick. they are using me as a tool, to rule a country.
"Why don't we arrange small reception at night, with few relatives and close friends," Rehan suggested. even my sweet mother-in-law nodded her head up and down with others, except my sister in laws who looked at me in pity. "you're not." I instantly stand up from the couch to protest, crossing my hands. "we don't need your permission." I snapped my eyes toward Mr. Ashwin Mehta.
"how are you going to introduce me to the world?" I greeted my teeth. "you don't need to bother about anything." he glared at me. " of course, It bothers me more than anyone. I can't show my face to the world. people will laugh when they find A true and honest criminal attorney had married into a criminal family. I have a reputation to lose unlike you bloody criminals." I snapped at him, maintaining my eye contact. Akash moved towards me, even his mother tell him to sit down.
"If we are criminals, what about you're father and brother? " Akash asked me, "No one knows who is my father. so It doesn't matter. Don't you even dare to involve my brother? he would never become a criminal just because his father is a criminal." My words are like adding fuel to the fire. Instantly he grabbed my hair from my back, pointing the knife at my throat. > Where he hides his knife?< > How would I know< > he is looking hot pointing a knife against your throat?<
moving a knife an inch right and upside on my throat, holding his hands, pressing the tip of the knife into my skin. "I would rather give a painful death than an instant one. if I'm in your place." he started to press more into my throat, glaring at me. I didn't remove my glare even though I hissed in pain, blood start to leak from the small cut.
"Akash, let are go." > Adarsh command more than he speaks, what do you think< >Yep you're damn right.< just focus on our life first. > You're the one who pissed him< > Even after he warned a few times, don't go near his father< > Now face consequences< I would rather die than, make you both sane.
I chuckled my tongue two times, "Tsk...tsk... you can't even kill me." I smirked, If he kills me, It's better to die pissing him off to my heart's content. he dropped the knife and started to laugh. "you will defiantly die in my hands one day." he leaned towards my ears. "first let me destroy you're soul, heart, mind, and body." he whispered near my ear, moving back.
"Akash, make her attend a reception. even teach her how to behave in this house?" his uncle ordered him, before leaving. everyone left from there one by one, after once glaring me.
Akash started to drag me to lift, grabbing my hand. my hand started to pain, and become numb to even try to move from due to the lack of blood circulating. he pushed me into the lift, once the door opened. I balanced myself before I fall on the ground by taking support from the sides. I hissed when he grabbed my hair and made me turn toward him.
"Welcome to hell, my dear kitten. I promise you, from now every second you will regret why hadn't I killed you." his voice sounded like he had taken an oath, just like I made to achieve my vengeance.
