A sudden crow from a chicken at the crack of dawn woke Raz up when he had to squint his eyes as he opened them due to a tiny beam of sunlight glaring onto his face through the blinds of his room.
He outstretched his arms to stretch as he gave a small morning yawn.
Clicking his tongue, he was about to begin his daily cultivation before he remembered the previous night's events and spoke in as husky as a child's voice could be, "Amalthea. Give me a report since our last interaction!"
[Affirmative. Since our last interaction, Amalthea B3B7DP made 37 changes to the upgrade estimation.]
[The upgrade length was halved and is already complete.]
[Current status has made Amalthea B3B7DP suitable for essential functions in this world.]
Giving a pleasant chortle, Raz continued to probe the abilities of the implant and asked, "Amalthea, what are your current functional and potential abilities as of this moment?"
[Current abilities are minimal compared to initial calculations.]
[Abilities: Calculations, advice (heavily limited), encryption, decryption.]
[Missing expected abilities: Combat simulation, HUD, interoceptive reports, and manipulation.]
The current capabilities of Amalthea were incredibly barren compared to its original purposes, but it couldn't be helped as it was functioning in a completely different and new environment.
Sighing, Raz continued, "What is needed to restore expected abilities?"
[Amalthea B3B7DP needs the host's permission to access knowledge pertaining to magic theory, materials, and anything else deemed necessary.]
Raz gave his consent full of hope as he hoped the knowledge he had received from his father's lessons would be enough.
[Host has granted access.]
[Accessing.]
[Utilizing data in calculations.]
[Error!]
[Not enough relevant information to make calculations, Amalthea B3B7DP needs more knowledge on the materials of this world.]
[Suggest the host take appropriate action.]
Sighing, Raz could only shake his head as he was too naive to think he would already have the relevant information. Although he had been given four years of lessons, the amount of information he learned was still a droplet in the ocean as his father only taught a small amount of information since Raz was technically still a toddler during that time.
Before he could seek the relevant information, he still had to cultivate, but before he did that, he announced, "Amalthea, am I able to rename you? Amalthea is quite long. Also, is there a more discrete way to talk to you?"
He didn't want to appear to be talking to nothing at times as it would draw unnecessary attention to himself, plus he didn't want any rumors that he wasn't psychopathic or crazy.
[Amalthea B3B7DP can be given a nickname that can be changed. Amalthea B3B7DP can interpret your words via your brain waves, but the host must first complete interoceptive reports and manipulation upgrades first and grant Amalthea B3B7DP permission.]
Satisfied with the situation, Raz positioned himself into a lotus position, but before he started, he whispered, "Amalthea list nickname as Athena."
[Confirmed. Amalthea B3B7DP shall now be known as Athena.]
After an hour of draining his willpower and mind during cultivation, Raz left the room sweaty and slightly fatigued but nonetheless continued on his busy day.
As noon soon approached, he opened the bedroom door and walked down the familiar hallway with his footsteps making tiny thumps along the carpet after a few twists and turns before he made it to the stairs.
Slowly walking down the rather large stairs due to his small size, a large hallway that splintered off into three paths appeared in his view.
Without hesitation, he continued walking down the left hallway until he arrived at his father's study once more.
William Alden was hunched over his desk with a pen-like object that looked like a quail but had glowing symbols inscribed onto the object that moved at lightning-quick speeds over a piece of paper before he took another document from the mountain-high stacks of paper.
Aware that Raz had entered, William continued writing but spoke enthusiastically to anything that would help sate his boredom, "Son! What brings you here? Wait, don't say anything. Let me guess. You need more books?"
Raz had been consuming books at an alarming rate that would make most aspiring scholars put their heads down in shame.
If William didn't know that Raz was a genius, he would've assumed that his son was returning the books out of boredom.
Nodding with his usual vigor regarding books and magic, Raz chirped, "Yes, Father! However, can I have books mainly focused on materials related to magic this time?"
"That's quite a specific topic. Out of curiosity, may I ask why?" William inquired with a raised eyebrow
Obviously, Raz couldn't tell his father about Athena for many reasons, so he tried to play it off as he emphasized, "No particular reason, I just felt like it. Plus, I lack knowledge in that field compared to other subjects."
With nothing but his passing interest fueling his curiosity, William didn't think twice about the answer and nodded as he voiced, "Go to the library. I believe Reginald is currently organizing books there so that he can assist you this time."
Raz watched his father go straight back into his papers, which seemed to have somehow grown during their conversation.
Going through a side door in his father's study connected to the library in the mansion, he soon saw a slender, elderly man with a well-kempt beard and mustache that was dusting off a table.
The elderly man saw him and bowed as he greeted Raz, "Young master! Have you come back for another book? If so, let me help you find them. I've been organizing this library since your father moved in."
Giving a little spin, Raz never got tired of seeing the considerably large library located in the mansion.
Even though the mansion was huge, the actual size of the library was considerably more significant than one would expect.
His father once said that there were at least 15,000 books present, and there were still empty spaces for future books in the well-lit and ventilated room.
With natural sunshine pouring through the dozens of windows everywhere, the books were kept in good condition with low-tier magic inscribed on the bookshelves that made sure the books didn't spoil.
"I'm looking for books that pertain to magic material and materials in general," Raz answered as he continued to look at the thousands of books.
Reginald nodded and proceeded to pick a few books off a particular bookshelf before returning and handing them to Raz with a bow.
After talking with Reginald on the way up as he helped bring the dozen of books to Raz's room, the door closed with a thud as the head butler's footsteps slowly echoed away.
Making sure no one was around, Raz picked up a large, heavy leather-bound book that read 'Common List of Magic Materials Found in the Iron Wolf Kingdom and Neighboring Kingdoms'.

[Would the host like Athena to aid and expedite the assimilation of knowledge?]
[Warning: Assimilation of knowledge will cause intense pain the more knowledge is absorbed.]
Full of confidence in his ability to bear the pain, Raz spoke, "Yes."
