Kingdom of the Plains, OverWorld
Night
Queen Scarlet and NetherBrine were quickly walking down the hallway alongside one another. The entrance was just down the hallway a bit. Scarlet had put her strongest armor on to protect her.
The guard she had built and expanded upon after she cast Daniel and Petra out, was failing her. They were failing to protect the Kingdom from Daniel and Elena's forces. She was fed up on waiting. Someone had to do something. HeroBrine was a traitor, and EnderBrine was unavailable. Who knows where he could be right now. Not down in the NetherWorld of course.
"Can I be of any assistance, my Queen?" NetherBrine asked.
They approached the entrance to the Castle. The doors were left opened and unguarded. Figures. Scarlet stopped walking and held out her hand. She looked at NetherBrine.
"No. What I want you to do is run. Find EnderBrine. I won't be able to hold them off much longer," Scarlet mentioned. "Hand me my sword."
"You're going to fight them all alone?" NetherBrine asked.
"I've come to realize that the Kingdom will fall. I'm going to lose either way. The only thing I can do now is hold them off as long as I can. My time as Queen is coming to an end," Scarlet said as she looked away. "I knew I should've listened to David. This was too ambitious a plan to carry out on my own."
"So you're just going to give up?" NetherBrine questioned.
"Not yet. I have one last trick up my sleeve," Scarlet said.
Outside the Castle, Daniel and Elena were approaching Scarlet. Daniel could see her standing in the entrance way next to another blockhead. The other blockhead, to him at least, seemed familiar.
"NetherBrine's back?" Daniel asked himself, "but how?"
"Doesn't matter," Elena said as she grabbed an arrow out of her inventory. She loaded the arrow into her bow and aimed it. Daniel watched her silently, not interrupting her concentration.
"Time to die for real this time, demon!" Elena said as she released the string on the bow. The arrow went flying towards NetherBrine. But just before the arrow could hit him, he caught it with his hand.
NetherBrine slowly turned his head, looking at Daniel and Elena. He faintly smiled. "You really thought you could—," he said as the arrow blew up. NetherBrine was blown to pieces, with his head falling to the floor.
NetherBrine's inventory spilled out onto the floor in front of Scarlet. She was frozen and at a loss for words. That explosion was completely unexpected.
"Oh sea pickles," Elena said, "I guess I used the wrong arrow. Sorry not sorry?"
"Elena!" Daniel said, "good job. You just killed NetherBrine hopefully for real this time."
Daniel began walking towards Scarlet. She was now all alone. Her guards weren't here to protect her now. Her sword was laying on the floor next to her. Scarlet glanced down at it, hesitant to make a move to pick it up. What would happen if she did?
"Daniel. Elena," Scarlet said as she began slowly walking forward to go outside. "I'm sure we can negotiate a peace deal, right?"
"Not today, not ever!" Daniel said.
Scarlet stopped walking. She thought of what Daniel had responded to her. "Hmm," she said, "well that's unfortunate."
Right after she had said that, she turned around and began running. Daniel and Elena went running after her. Once they ran into the hallway of the Castle, they saw who was confronting Scarlet.
Both Victoria and Petra were standing at the end of the hallway. Scarlet was standing, unable to move. She must've been hit by a freeze potion. Elena and Daniel put their weapons away. The others came running down the other hallway, only to stop running when they saw Scarlet had been captured.
"Petra?" Daniel said as he took one step closer. The thought of reading the note addressed to him returned to his mind. Petra and Victoria both were wearing white dresses. Both symbolizing that they were now Goddesses.
"Daniel," Petra responded. "Good to see you succeeded. I'm proud of you."
"Thank you," Daniel said, "anyways, how are you?"
"Well for one, I helped you stop Scarlet. Victoria and I decided it'd be best for us to take Scarlet back with us. Her punishment will be doing chores for us Goddesses and Gods for all eternity."
"Seems fair and reasonable," Elena said.
"Any last words Scarlet?" Victoria asked, handcuffing Scarlet with enchanted iron cuffs. The effects of the freeze potion were wearing off. Victoria grabbed Scarlet's left arm.
"I wish everyone here farewell...again," Victoria said as she looked around at everyone. She stopped when she laid eyes on Daniel. "Before I go, I have a message for you from Frederick, my husband. Who also happens to be a God as well."
"What did he say?" Daniel asked.
"He wanted me to let you know that you're changing history. This is now the second time you have saved the OverWorld from evil. He does, however, have a mission for you," Victoria said.
"What's the mission madam?" Daniel said.
"We've come across some alarming information. As it turns out, our villainous friends are being led by a blockhead who calls himself the Mysterious One. Find this blockhead and stop him from releasing any further bad guys. That's your mission," Victoria said, "do you think you can handle that?"
"Absolutely," Daniel said as another bright light appeared and began floating down towards the floor. Everyone looked up into the air. They were curious as to who could be coming down from the Heavens now.
"It's him," Victoria said.
"Who?" Daniel asked.
"Frederick," Petra answered.
Once the light touched the floor, it dimmed. Revealing a man who also wore a white, curvy gown. He had long, curly brown hair and green eyes. He was holding a golden trident.
"Daniel," Frederick said, "what Victoria left out and didn't tell you was that I will be staying here until this so-called Mysterious One is found. Is that okay?"
"I'm sure our Castle has plenty of room, your majesty," Daniel said.
"I am no King," Frederick said, "just a God. You can call me Fred if you'd like...your majesty. Now what is everyone doing standing around here for? Our King has a lot of work to do now that Scarlet has been defeated. On with it everyone."
