"Come on, don't look away, Evangeline. I am quite curious," Alexander said, grabbing her chin to force her to look into his eyes.
"I was having a nightmare," Evangeline glared at him defensively.
"Yeah? Maybe. Maybe I heard the tones wrong. You must've wanted to scream. Laurentius in an angry tone, but you screamed 'oh, Laurentius, so softly that I mistook it," Alexander grinned, and Evangeline rolled her eyes.
"Step aside, Mr. Alexander. I have to leave for the university. I need to verify something with the professor before I leave for my shift in the cafe," Evangeline said, and Alexander's amused expression immediately turned into a grim one.
She wants to verify something from the professor. He bet she is talking about the same professor who wanted to pay for her lunch the other day and was flirting with her.
Alexander's hands clenched by his side before he stood from his place.
