"Can you refrain yourself from calling me your future wife in front of everyone?" Evangeline said as soon as they exited the doctor's cabin.
"Hmm? What are you saying? I can't hear it because of your mask," Alexander said, feigning ignorance, and Evangeline felt her lips twitching.
"You really can't hear me?" She asked him, and when he didn't respond, she sighed and looked ahead.
"Ouch!" Evangeline winced in pain, whispering, and Alexander immediately stopped the wheelchair before rushing in front of her.
"Where does it hurt?" He asked her, holding her hands in his, looking straight into her eyes when realization dawned upon him.
"Seriously?" He asked, and Evangeline smirked behind the mask.
"What happened, Mr. Laurentius? I thought you said you couldn't hear me," She asked, and the man scratched his forehead helplessly.
