The cavern swallowed the light of the Radiance Orb, barely illuminating more than a couple of steps ahead. Saad glanced around at the looming shadows and swallowed hard; this place was like a horror movie set he wanted no part of. He could feel Aali's steady presence behind him, her bright eyes fixated on the orb like it was the most mesmerizing thing in the world. Every so often, she'd nudge him with her nose, almost reassuring him in her own way.
"At least we won't trip over our own feet," he muttered, a bit more for his own reassurance than anyone else's.
Ishtaar allowed herself a faint smile, although she never fully relaxed. "Stay close and tread carefully. The labyrinth is as deceptive as it is dark."
