Saad, Penelope, and Luke exited the dungeon and slowly walked out into the daylight. Saad turned to them, gratitude evident in his voice. "Thank you both for your help. I really appreciate it. I gathered so much because of your help."
His previous thoughts about Penelope had changed. Seeing her in action, she hadn't tried to take revenge or pull any tricks in the dungeon. Instead, she had been so helpful during the raid, she had really carried them. On the other hand, he genuinely liked Luke. The guy seemed so genuine, nice, and lighthearted. He felt like they had become good friends already.
Luke patted Saad's shoulder. "It's all good, man. We're all just fellow gamers here. There's more fun in team play."
Penelope, who had been less energetic since they left the dungeon spoke up with a small smile. "I agree with Luke. I don't mind helping out."
Saad nodded, feeling a newfound respect for her. "Thanks, Penelope. I really appreciate it."
