Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

On the way, he saw Malfoy and his two kid bodyguards. He avoided them and happily walked away and didn't get back until the train was near Hogwarts.

He entered the compartment and saw that the two had already finished changing, so he simply waved his wand and his trunk opened. Two more waves of his wand and he was in his school robes, ready for his first year at Hogwarts.

'I can keep a decent amount of distance from the trio now… Hermy hates me or at least doesn't like me so hopefully she keeps these two away from me too but that's only valid if they ever become close friends. There's also a ninety percent probability that we will be in different houses so that's also a plus and I also can't have the old fart Dumbles sticking his nose into my life…'

He looked outside the window and saw the train getting slower, almost reaching Hogwarts. He then picked up his trunk and walked out instead of using spells as he did not want to cause a commotion as a first year. He looked at the other two in his compartment who seemed awed by his little usage.

It made sense if Harry was amazed but seeing Ron look at him with awe struck eyes made him wonder if his brain was damaged.

'Doesn't Molly use magic every single day right in front of her whole family? Oh well, it's not like it matters much. Should be fine even if I show it to these to anyways.'

It was raining heavily, but Alex felt weird as he walked into the castle. He felt an unknown pressure pushing down on him while he waited for the large doors to open.

He stood still, albeit with a bit more effort on his part until he was ushered inside by the deputy headmistress while the ghosts followed the crowd of small kids.

Alex felt the pressure get stronger as he walked past the large doors, into the great hall.

'What in the world? Just what is going on here… ugh, deep breaths Alex, deep breaths.'

He held on as the pressure wasn't too much, but it still put him on edge as he did not know why it was happening to him. He looked at the others around him and saw that no one felt the same thing as him.

They all looked nervous but no one seemed to be in the same situation as him.

He ignored the Sorting hat's song as he was too busy observing every single person sitting on the High Table. No one seemed to be looking at him so he turned his gaze to the students.

[A/N: Yes, we will be breaking the tradition. I'm sorry if you are disappointed.]

People glanced at him but their gaze lingered for only one moment before moving on to others beside him.

Alex's breathing became ragged as beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. His gaze on his shoes, he stood still until he felt someone nudge him while the whole hall burst into laughter.

He looked up and saw everyone looking at him.

Professor McGonagall peered through her spectacles, "I repeat. Jordan, Alex."

Alex nodded and walked over. He looked calm as he walked at a pace slower than normal, bringing more attention to himself for a short period of time.

He lifted the hat that was sitting on the stool and sat down before placing it on his head. A few seconds passed in utter silence until a small voice sounded in his head.

'Interesting… and a very difficult one indeed. Most ambitious person ever… even if we include my creators but, the thirst for knowledge is also stronger than any I've seen so far. Better in slytherin since I sense that you have no morals… alrig-'

'I want Ravenclaw. Please not slytherin.'

'Not Slytherin, ey? You are the second person tonight telling me that. Alright then…'

"RAVENCLAW!!"

He took a deep breath before taking off the hat and walked over to the Ravenclaw house table as everyone from his house clapped energetically.

'Ay Ay… these dumb idiots… don't they realise that this whole house system basically works as an efficient way to keep them in check?'

Alex looked at the four groups who seemed to be pleased to have new members.

'This whole house system is pointless and outdated. All it does is cause divisions in the school… but I can see that it does it's intended job well.' he thought as he looked at the Slytherins.

'The main target of hatred just because they want to stand high up in the society and there's also the fact that most of the Slytherins pick the grey or the dark paths later on in life.

Unfortunately for the good ones here, they'll be treated like a plague regardless and that is especially true after fourth year when Voldy returns. What a shitty house for those people and also a very hard place to move freely for me.'

The feast began after the formalities from Dumbledore but Alex couldn't eat too much as he felt his whole body hurt as time passed by.

After about an hour, they were dismissed and the first years followed their respective prefects to their dormitories.

Alex paid no heed to where he was going as he silently followed his fellow Ravenclaws. He groaned softly as he saw the prefect struggling with the riddle that was asked to grant them entry.

It took them two minutes to get in and as soon as the prefect showed them their room, Alex plopped himself onto his bed with all the energy and will he could muster and lost consciousness in a mere second.

He opened his eyes to find himself in a familiar place and turned to look at the familiar lady who appeared out of nowhere. He sighed as he didn't feel the excruciating pain anymore and looked at her with a doubtful expression on his face.

"Did I die?"
