Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Chad's Gym and A Dragon's Plea

The sun rose high in the sky, casting a warm glow over Arcadia City as Ethan made his way to Chad's gym. It had been a few days since the hilarious encounter with Vincent at the Haven Amusement Park. Ethan was eager to continue his dragon training and spend time with his newfound friends.

As Ethan entered the gym, he was immediately greeted by energetic music pumping through the speakers, and people of all shapes and sizes engaged in various fitness activities. The gym was a bustling hub of energy and determination, with Chad at the center, overseeing the operations like a commanding general.

Chad, sporting a tank top that showcased his sculpted physique, spotted Ethan and beamed with enthusiasm. "Ethan, my man! Ready to ignite those flames of youth today?"

Ethan chuckled, but his eyes darkened as he remembered why he was here. "Chad. Not sure about igniting my flames, but Amelia nagged at me until I finally relented to working out. Damn, that woman can be intimidating if she wants!"

"Haha, she sure can!"

Chad led Ethan to a designated area in the gym, filled with state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated trainers. He introduced Ethan to his team of fitness experts, each with unique expertise.

"Meet Sarah, our yoga and flexibility guru," Chad gestured to a serene woman with a warm smile. "And this is Mike, our strength and conditioning specialist. Just like you, they are dragons." he pointed to a burly man with an air of confidence.

Ethan nodded to each of them, impressed by the expertise and passion that radiated from the team. He knew he was in good hands on his journey of physical transformation.

Chad clapped his hands together, his eyes shining with excitement. "Alright, Ethan, let's start with basic exercises to build strength and endurance. We'll get your circulation fixed!"

The training session started with Chad and his team guiding Ethan through exercises tailored to his dragon heritage. They focused on building his core strength, improving his agility, and enhancing his overall physical fitness. The trainers pushed Ethan to his limits, encouraging him every step of the way.

As the session progressed, Ethan's initial hesitation and self-consciousness melted away. With each rep, each lift, he could feel his body growing, his energy levels surging.

Chad, ever the motivational force, cheered Ethan on. "That's it, Ethan! Feel the fire within you! Now, you need to follow our diet plan, and everything will be alright after three months of continuous exercise. Though, I recommend you to visit us afterward as well."

Ethan's sweat-drenched face beamed with a mixture of exhaustion and exhilaration. He couldn't help but marvel at the transformation taking place, not just in his body but also in his mindset. After an intense workout, Ethan collapsed onto a bench, catching his breath. Chad and his team gathered around, their smiles reflecting a shared sense of accomplishment.

"You did great, Ethan!" Sarah patted him on the back, her voice filled with pride. "Your dedication and progress are truly inspiring."

As he guided Ethan through his workouts, his focus was suddenly interrupted by a presence that sent a ripple of excitement through the air. A magnificent dragon with shimmering black scales and piercing blue eyes stood at the entrance. The dragon turned into a woman, and she entered the gym.

Her presence commands attention and respect. Her long, flowing black hair cascades down her back, reflecting the light with a subtle shimmer. Her piercing blue eyes hold wisdom and ancient knowledge, captivating those who meet her gaze. Elara's features are delicate and refined, with a regal aura that emanates from her every gesture.

Chad's eyes widened with surprise, recognizing the dragon as Elara, a prominent figure among the dragon community. It was not rare for dragons to seek him out directly, but he knew this visit held great significance. With a friendly smile, Chad approached Elara.

"Greetings, Elara! To what do I owe this honor? How can I be of service?"

Elara dipped her head in acknowledgment, her voice resonating with wisdom and urgency. "Chad West, the renowned mediator of the dragon world, I come to seek your assistance in a matter of utmost importance."

"Sorry, Ethan. Looks like I have some business to take care of. I'll let Sarah guide you on the after-workout session."

"No problem, Boss!"

Chad motioned for Elara to follow him to a more private area within the gym. As they settled into a quiet corner, Elara explained the dire situation that had befallen the dragon realm.

"Our realm is plagued by a wave of lethargy and dwindling vitality. Dragons of all ages and ranks started to suffer from a mysterious disease, their once vibrant flames flickering weakly. We fear that if this continues, it may lead to the decline of our kind. Other races may take this as us growing weak. We cannot let imbalance plague us during these turbulent times."

Chad's brow furrowed with concern, his mind racing to find a solution. He understood the significance of dragons and their vital role in maintaining balance in the mystical realms.

Elara continued, her voice laced with hope. "We believe your unique expertise and indomitable spirit may be the key to revitalizing our kind. Will you lend us your strength and wisdom, Chad West?"

Chad's chest swelled with a sense of responsibility and honor. He had always been passionate about helping others achieve their fullest potential. This is a request from the dragon community from a member of the dragon council. The council decides on rules and enforces them. Furthermore, they manage the politics and diplomacy between the races in Arcadia.

He looked at her and replied.

"Elara, I humbly accept your plea. I will do everything I can to assist you and the council. But may I select a team to help me with this task?"

"Yes, you are granted a blank slate as long as you don't break our trust."

Elara replied cooly. She told him he would get an official notice soon and then left.

Chad nodded, his mind already brimming with ideas and plans. He understood the road ahead would be arduous. But he was determined to restore the fiery spirit that once burned brightly within the dragon realm.

As Elara parted ways, Chad's thoughts turned to his friends and allies, Ethan, Amelia, and his wife. He knew their support and unique abilities would be invaluable in this endeavor. Ethan has improved quite well. He wanted to reconnect with his old friend. Both Amelia and his wife are formidable dragons. So, he got back to the training hall with a renewed sense of purpose.

"Things are going to be stimulating from now on." Chad thought as he made his way back to Ethan.
