Background and other stuff

Hello. This here will likely be used to add any background information that may be relevant. Hopefully it will help everyone have an easy point of return in case they forget something. I don't intend to put spoiler stuff here but that may change.

----

Grade and class classification.

Grade Monster Class

Civilian E

Soldier D

Fighter C

Warrior B

Knight A

Champion S

Paladin SS

Noble SSS

Above SSS (Named)

Note that to beat a monster of the same quality (Example Knights and A class monsters) it is expected to take anywhere between 3 and 6 people.

There is also significant variation between the Grades, this is especially true the higher you go up. Some high level paladins may be capable of beating several others at the same time. I may look to divide grades and monster classes into a High/Med/Low.

----

----

Nobility of the Slate Kingdom

rated highest to lowest

Royals (Members who are related to the direct line of the ruler)

Noble Six (The six noble families that run the kingdom. Note the royals are also members of the Noble Six and their are hierarchies within the families).

Dukes (Most territories have a couple of dukes, generally relatives of the noble six)

Marquess

Earls

Visconts

Barons (Low ranking nobles)

Knights (the lowest title for nobility. They are generally handed out by achievements or given by higher nobles as a boon for their service. Not hereditary.)

Citizens (the general populace.)

Nomads (Make up most of the population at the outer rim of the kingdom.)

Slaves (People who have committed a crime or taken as spoils of war.)

Non-human races (Generally thought of as an abomination and treated with disdain.)

For many of the titles, you can attain them with a certain level of strength. If you are rated as a Knight grade, you can generally apply to join the nobility of knights. This is usually achieved by having a noble sponsor you.

Once reaching the champion grade, you are gifted a title of Baron or higher and given land. Not all barons are at champion rank though, as you can inherit them.

Upon reaching Paladin, you aren't generally given a further title immediately. While it isn't hard for them to increase their nobility, they also often align with one of the Noble Six and are granted vast wealth for their loyalty.

Finally if one reaches Noble grade (which hasn't happened outside of the six great families) they are normally positioned as the heir of their family.
