Roger then took a bite of a fruit with a vivid and distinctive color, and his reaction was nothing short of astonishment. The taste that enveloped his palate was extraordinary, refreshingly delicious, arguably the most exquisite fruit he had ever savored in his life.
"No wonder individuals can afford to buy fruits from that one-armed fellow, even at such exorbitant prices," Roger mused, recollecting the sight of a group of women flocking to Alex's vegetable stand earlier.
With that thought in mind, Roger turned his attention to another fruit and eagerly took a bite. However, as soon as the fruit touched his tongue, Roger's eyes widened in surprise. His initially beaming face contorted into a look of tension, and he eventually spat out the fruit pulp.
