Chapter 32
"I'm sorry, Master. I didn't hear your words earlier," said the woman modestly.
"I said, I want this car and I will pay for it," said Alex indifferently.
The woman seemed a bit stunned because she expected Alex to react like other customers who inquired about the car. Usually, they would lose interest immediately after learning the price. The reason was, this car was almost 50% more expensive than the original model due to extensive modifications.
The woman had anticipated a tough negotiation if Alex was interested, but she never expected him to agree to the price so easily.
"Um, sir, would you like to pay in cash or credit?" she asked, still slightly taken aback.
"Just cash, I'll immediately transfer it via cellphone."
"Okay, sir, let's go to the corner first to complete all the paperwork."
"Yeah, okay, let's."
With this, Alex and the woman discussed the necessary arrangements, and Alex paid for the car.
Exiting the auto shop, Alex drove straight to the gas station to fill up the tank of his new car. As he looked at the odometer, Alex couldn't help but feel pleased with the low number of kilometers.
People around him noticed Alex's car and couldn't help but gaze at it with curiosity. It was completely different from the typical cars they were used to seeing in the area, as it had undergone extensive modifications.
Alex continued on his way, driving comfortably towards his village. He was very satisfied with his new car. Upon arriving in his village, many people looked at his car in amazement, pointing their fingers at him. Cars like Alex's were not common in the village, making it an unusual and eye-catching sight.
"Hey, look! How expensive do you think that car is?"
"I don't know, but what's clear is, why did the car come to our village?"
"Yeah, did he get lost?"
Alex, who was in the car, could only smile to himself because even though he didn't open the car windows, he could still hear some of the words spoken by people who were not too far away from him.
He continued driving until he reached his front door. Lilith and Rose, who were playing at home, were slightly disturbed by the sound of the approaching car. Excited, the two girls rushed outside only to see an extremely luxurious car parked in front of their house.
"Wow, whose car is this? It's so cool!" Rose exclaimed.
"That's right, look how big the car is, there's even a tub behind it!"
"I wish I could ride it, surely I will sleep with a smile!" said Rose hopefully.
Lilith, who heard this, also thought like Rose. But before she could express her opinion, she was surprised to find the car stopped in front of her house.
She wondered who the person driving this car was and why it had stopped in front of her house. When the two girls were confused, suddenly the car door opened, revealing the figure of Alex, who only had one arm.
"Father?" said Lilith doubtfully.
Then Lilith asked Rose in a strange tone, "Auntie, am I dreaming now?"
Rose, who heard this, was also confused, but after that, she approached Lilith and pinched her hand.
"Ahhh!"
"Why did Auntie pinch me!" shouted Lilith, annoyed.
"Don't you want to know if you're dreaming or not?" Rose replied.
Lilith, who heard this, then realized. She stopped thinking about her complaints against Rose and instead looked at Alex with her eyes wide open.
Alex then came and asked them worriedly, "What are you guys playing? Why are you screaming?"
"No, brother, is this your car?"
"Yes, if it's not my car, whose car will it be?"
"Is it true?" Rose was still a little in disbelief.
"Right," replied Alex.
"Wow, your car is very cool! Brother, may I ride it?"
"Yes, you can. Lilith, do you also want to go up?" Alex then turned his gaze toward his daughter.
At first, Lilith was unresponsive.
"Lilith?" asked Alex doubtfully.
Then Lilith nodded enthusiastically, never taking her eyes off the car.
Alex, who saw this, smiled faintly.
Then the two girls and Alex got into the car excitedly.
Rose, who was in the co-pilot seat, exclaimed, "Wow, it's huge! It's also very cold!" in a tone of amazement.
Lilith, who was sitting in the back, also looked amazed as she admired everything in the car.
Alex, hearing their excitement, asked, "Do you like the car?"
"Of course, we love it!" said Rose.
"Absolutely!" nodded Lilith enthusiastically.
Then the three of them drove for a while before finally arriving at Alex's house. Lily happened to be in front of the house and heard the sound of the car. She couldn't help but feel a little confused, wondering who in the village owned such a car.
As Lily wondered, the three of them got out of the car with happy faces. Lily was taken aback when she saw the luxurious car.
"Hey, sister-in-law, take a look at the new car that my brother bought. Isn't it cool?" said Rose proudly.
Lilith, who was standing nearby, nodded enthusiastically.
Lily gasped in surprise. She wanted to be angry at Alex for spending money on such an extravagant car, but she kept a normal appearance in front of everyone. She didn't want to spoil the excitement.
Then Lilith and Rose excitedly talked about riding in the car at Alex's house before Rose finally went home.
During the night, Lily asked Alex with an unhappy tone, "Is that your car?"
"Yes, I just bought it earlier," Alex replied.
Hearing this, Lily's suppressed anger exploded. She pointed at Alex as if wanting to scream, but no sound came out, only tears streamed down her face. Lily curled up sadly, crying uncontrollably. Her body shook violently as if she were frightened.
Alex was taken aback by his wife's sudden emotional outburst. He was completely unprepared for her reaction.
He approached her, wanting to comfort her, but she pushed him away, saying, "Do not touch me!" through sobs.
Her cries were heartbreaking, and Alex felt a pain in his chest as if something was stuck there. His throat felt constricted, making it hard for him to find the right words to say.
Alex, feeling guilty, patiently waited for his wife to calm down before explaining carefully.
However, Lily didn't seem to care about Alex's words at all. All she knew was that there was a debt in her name of two million plus.
"And you still dare to play around? Are you trying to destroy us?" Lily's patience had reached its limit. She had endured all the complaints and frustrations she had experienced so far, but this time, she couldn't hold back her emotions.
Alex continued to persuade his wife with great care. He consciously insulated their room with the soundproofing filaments of the space ring so that their argument wouldn't be heard by anyone else.
After a while, Lily finally started to calm down a bit. Alex then offered her a diluted dew of life to help her relax.
As she took a sip, Lily's body immediately responded as if she had just been injected with a drug. The dew of life had a soothing effect on her, and she felt the tension in her body ease a little.
With this, Lily's mood slowly improved again. Her previously dizzy head also gradually subsided, and her appearance after drinking the dew of life was even better than before she had cried.
But even so, she still asked, "Where did you get that money?"
"I already told you, from selling vegetables and lobsters. If you don't believe me, look at this," Alex tried to explain.
Lily looked at the numbers on Alex's cellphone and was a little stunned. Even though Alex had shown her many times, she still found it hard to believe.
However, she didn't dwell on this and instead changed the topic, "Have you paid this month's debt?"
Alex fell silent for a while. There was immense anger within his chest as he recalled things. If he kept thinking about it, his chest felt like it would explode. But even though he was very irritated, Alex still spoke calmly in front of his wife, "No, there is a problem with the bank. I will request help from my uncle and aunt to help me pay."
Lily, who heard this, still felt uncomfortable in her heart. However, she could only reply, "Okay, call immediately. Don't let your little daughter suffer even more…" Lily said.
Alex, upon hearing the last sentence, felt like a boulder hit him, realizing that Lily referred to herself as "your little daughter." He felt a little guilty for not being the husband he should be.
"Yeah, don't worry, I'll call my uncle and aunt right away," Alex reassured her.
Lily then nodded and left the room. Seeing his wife's dispirited back, Alex became even more determined. He must become rich, and stronger, and seek revenge against every enemy. He couldn't bear to see his wife living in fear. Alex knew he hadn't been someone who made Lily feel safe around him, and he wanted to change that.
Immediately, Alex called his uncle, who was a lawyer and a bank clerk. After a brief conversation, Alex sent money to his uncle so he could pay off Alex's debts. He was also fed up with dealing with people like Baka and hoped his uncle could help put an end to it.
Thinking about the many things that happened that day, Alex felt a bit overwhelmed. He couldn't believe how eventful and challenging the day had been.
While pondering about the events, Alex suddenly remembered that he had stolen something from the bear gang. His curiosity was piqued about what the gang considered a treasure.
With this thought in mind, Alex immediately went into the ring room. However, upon entering, he was completely taken aback. The room was filled with so many things, and it was quite messy.
"Did I take all this stuff and mess it up?" Alex asked himself in disbelief.
Despite the mess, Alex couldn't resist his curiosity and started searching through the items hastily. As he moved through the clutter, he came across a wide and luxurious work desk, and he gasped in surprise.
"This is unbelievable!" he exclaimed.
