"Roger, this young man, claimed he bought animal waste for 2 dollars a cart! Isn't this outrageous? It costs the same as the vegetables I've worked so hard to grow," said Greenfield's father irritably.
"But, because the villagers still respect your father, they all agreed not to sell to Roger," Greenfield's father said proudly.
However, he continued reluctantly, "But who could have known that Roger was quite cunning? He threatened everyone, saying that those who didn't sell animal waste to him would face consequences! The villagers, aware of Roger's connections with gangs, felt intimidated and afraid. So, they had no choice but to sell it to Roger, and we ended up with nothing!"
