Chapter 71 - Chapter 71

Chapter 71: Selling Pepper

I had money, and if possible, I wanted salt. Salt was essential, after all. They say the body needs salt.

"Do you have salt? How much do you want?" I asked.

Since there was salt, I bought an appropriate amount. Even so, pepper was valuable, so I sold it at a high price and ended up with extra money.

I made a profit. This way, I could make money regularly by selling pepper.

I became friendly with the shopkeeper.

"Master, pepper is a precious spice. The shopkeeper was delighted."

"Yeah, it's good that we could get pepper from the mountain. If it weren't for Moflun, I wouldn't have gone to that mountain or come to this town. It's really thanks to Moflun."

"I'm glad to be praised. What will you do next?"

"Nothing in particular. We've come far enough."

She blushed a little when I praised her.

I sold out of pepper and sesame and bought salt. I had already achieved my goal, so I strolled through the town at my leisure.

It's been a few days since I met someone new in town. When I was in the Hero's party, meeting people was a common occurrence. If you went to the Adventurer's Guild, there were always people with weapons and armor.

The capital was especially crowded, an overcrowded city where there were people everywhere. Since coming to the borderlands, it had only been Swy and Moflun, but strangely, I didn't feel lonely.

I felt more fulfilled now than when I was in the Hero's party. It felt like I was doing what I wanted to do. It was interesting to develop something from scratch in a barren wasteland.

I wonder if I thought it was interesting when I was with Hero Gratias. My life was stable, but I felt like something was missing.

Now I think I have it. While walking through the town, I stopped at a certain store.

This store sells alcohol. Should I take a look?

"This store is a liquor store. Let's stop by."

"Liquor store?"

Moflun had lived a life without interacting with people, so it was natural that she didn't know about alcohol.

The shopkeeper came and said, "We have various types of alcohol. We have beer and rice wine."

"Alright, then I'll take some beer and rice wine. Please."

I bought alcohol on a whim. I only drank a little alcohol. I wanted to continue with the idea of making whatever I could. I wanted to see how far I could go with my alchemy.
