Chapter 52: Mofurun the Glutton
The taste remains the same since I had it yesterday.
This is the first dish I've cooked for Mofurun.
I wonder how it'll turn out.
While Sui enjoyed it, the flavors might not be the same for a magical dragon and a Fenrir.
Mofurun might not like it, so I'll have to see after she tastes it.
"I-is this meat cooked? It's my first time trying cooked meat, I usually eat it raw... I-it's delicious!!"
"Cooked meat has a different flavor than raw. I've come to enjoy Franz-sama's cooking too."
"The meat and this rice are delicious!"
"I used an alchemically crafted frying pan to cook the rice. I'm glad you like it. With my alchemy-enhanced farming tools, rice can grow in a day, so you can have it every day."
"What? In a day?"
"When I use my alchemy-enhanced farming tools, the soil grows incredibly fast. I never thought planting seeds to harvesting could be done in a day."
Sui enjoys eating well, but I wonder about Mofurun.
Considering her natural size, she'll probably eat a lot.
"To tell the truth, there's a reason I came to your estate, Master."
"Huh, a reason?"
"There is indeed a reason. As Sui knows, Fenrir have a distinct trait of not interacting with demons, humans, elves, or beastfolk. We usually act alone. That's why I've lived in remote lands with no one around."
"That's why you're considered legendary or mythical among humans."
"Living in the desolate land I loved, I found it strange when a farm suddenly appeared. I wondered when it had been created. As I thought about it, I sniffed the air with my nose, and there was a wonderful fragrance. The scent of meat, vegetables, and such."
"So Mofurun, you were watching the farm from a distance. I thought enemies were approaching, trying to take my life."
"I was just a foodie, that's all. At first, I even suspected Mofurun was targeting me."
She wasn't after me in the farm; she was drawn by the aroma of the meal I cooked yesterday, and she came closer.
Well, they say a dog's sense of smell is dozens of times better than a human's.
Mofurun's nose must be quite sensitive too.
"Yes, I was lured to the farm by the aroma of the meal you prepared, Master. That's where you and Sui arrived. So, I was troubled and didn't really need to fight. I was just curious about the fragrance."
