Chapter 65 - V7C5

Volume 7, Chapter 5: Emperor Carlos I of Eterno

Faulos of Ehector ascended the artificial waterway aboard a high-speed ship.

"Damn it, can't leave it like this. My Ehector, which I painstakingly built, was gaining fame in the vicinity, but now it's being underestimated."

Faulos gritted his teeth at the bow of the high-speed ship.

"Still not using the waterway to the royal palace?"

The city was a labyrinth of waterways.

The name of the kingdom was Eterno.

A nation that had prospered since ancient times, using waterways to defend the city and reclaiming land from marshes.

Approaching the waterway to the royal palace, there stood a large iron gate blocking the waterway.

There, the feared Eterno marines known as the Cocodourilo were stationed.

"I am Faulos of Ehector. I wish to meet His Majesty Carlos I."

Faulos shouted to the marines.

"Wait a moment," the marines coldly replied.

The marines, whether it was Ehector or not, showed no fear.

Because they were also marines synonymous with the terror known as Cocodourilo.

Faulos impatiently waited at the bow of the ship.

A marine came over and opened the sturdy iron gate.

"Enter. His Majesty Carlos I will see you."

The marine answered expressionlessly.

"Thank you very much."

Faulos lowered his waist and bowed his head.

Faulos sailed his high-speed ship further into the depths of the palace through the waterway.

**********

-- Faulos entered the luxurious palace, reminiscent of a grand temple.

Faulos was tall, but the guards had equally imposing figures.

A luxurious table made of gold, adorned with various fruits, stood in the center.

In front of the table was a sofa covered with silk, resembling a bed.

A man dressed in attire reminiscent of Greek mythology, revealing his skin, lay there.

He was King Carlos I of Eterno.

With luxurious golden hair and aqua eyes, a robust and tall physique.

Above all, a man who had complete control over his beauty.

Moreover, he was known for his strength in naval battles, arguably one of the strongest in the world.

"What's the matter, Faulos? You seem humble."

King Carlos I called out to Faulos while lying on the bed.

"I actually have a request."

Faulos kneeled on the spot and looked at King Carlos I.

"What is it?"

King Carlos I, without looking at Faulos, picked grapes and ate them.

"Well, most of Ehector's ships were sunk."

Faulos said, and King Carlos I burst into laughter.

"What? Wasn't he the cruelest and most ruthless pirate? Quite embarrassing."

King Carlos I mocked with a laugh.

"So, are you asking to borrow a ship? You're not going to ask to borrow Cocodourilo, are you?"

Faulos trembled at King Carlos I's cold words.

"I-I apologize. I never imagined there would be so many Sea Serpents..."

As soon as Faulos said that, King Carlos I immediately stood up and approached Faulos.

"Sea Serpents, you say?"

King Carlos I's eyes gleamed.

"Yes, there were about a hundred of them."

Faulos answered.

"I see, Conchue, Patrida, Tera. So, he has come."

"You know about it?"

"Oh yes, the true savior."

"Savior?"

"The monster who nearly single-handedly destroyed Alexia."

"Th-that guy..."

Faulos shivered.

"Where is he now?"

King Carlos I's eyes emitted a ferocious light.

"He's headed towards Conchue, aboard a luxurious high-speed sailboat."

Faulos answered.

"Interesting. I, too, am a man known as the genius Henio. It would be amusing to see who comes out on top."

King Carlos I showed a beast-like grin.
