Volume 7, Chapter 3: Jurojin
After the Sea Serpent's devouring dance concluded, I ensured that all remaining ships were sunk to prevent misuse.
The Sea Serpents happily lowered their heads and disappeared back into the sea.
Of course, it seems they will follow behind our luxurious high-speed sailboat, thanks to Princess Miyabi's consideration.
Not only the guests, but also the crew and the captain were returned to their cabins, sparing us from cold stares.
"For now, it's over," I said, showing a smile to everyone.
"For now, I'll report to the captain," Aoi said, rushing toward the cabin.
"Well, well, this is quite a problem," a small, radiant, elderly figure resembling a tree suddenly appeared in front of me.
If it were a Koropokkuru, would it be this size?
The tiny old man floated before me, gazing intently.
"I really shouldn't have seen this hallucination," I told Murasaki.
"Well, it seems like a small old man is floating there," Murasaki replied.
"It's just your imagination," I said, pushing everyone to return to the cabin.
"Wait, wait, you, you're talking to me," the small tree-like old man spoke up.
"Unfortunately, I can't hear you," I answered.
"You can hear me," the small tree-like old man seemed a bit annoyed.
"I'm sorry. I don't want any more trouble," I answered, almost praying.
"It's not trouble," the small tree-like old man said, emitting a warm golden light from his right hand onto the sitting Apolito.
"Oh, oh?" Apolito suddenly stood up.
"Oh? What happened to being downcast... oh?"
Suddenly, Apolito looked around as if waking up.
"Another one too. Look," the tree-like old man showered the same light on Colonel Kunito.
"Oh? What about the ones before? Oh?" Colonel Kunito's voice changed, no longer Ike****'s.
Hmm, well, that's a shame.
"Maybe antidepressants or something?"
"What's that?"
"What if it's something from my previous world, to suppress the dark parts of the mind..."
"That's not it. It's about healing the heart."
"Heart?"
"Clearing away what was repressed."
"And who exactly are you?"
"Call me Jurojin. I'm like an educator for
Jurojin, the tree-like old man, laughed.
"Educator?"
What could it be?
That doesn't sound pleasant.
"Originally, I was planning to come to you a bit later, but because
Jurojin looked at me.
"I see, thank you. That's enough. I apologize and take my leave."
Saying that, I quickly escaped to my specially reserved noble and royal cabin.
I'm done with troublesome conversations.
