While Achiel wondered in disbelief because of the call and message he had just received, the system window suddenly popped up in his mind again,
Ping! Host has just spent three hundred billion dollars.
Ping! Host's available balance is $999, 999, 999, 699, 998, 000, 000
Ping! Because Host has spent that much money, Host's biceps have been improved. Undergoing physical transformation.
Achiel felt a surge run through his body, and he felt dizzy for the first few seconds. But then again, like nothing happened, he was back to being hale and hearty.
This was just too much for him to process. He should rest, but he didn't have the time for that.
"Hoveland. Hoveland?" He thought.
That was the first thing he could think of. He headed out of the building and off the compound. He hailed at a cab, and off he went.
The cab stopped at a particular part of the road. No commercial cab was allowed to drive into the premises of Hoveland.
Hoveland is the biggest company in the whole of Jade City. Several influential figures and companies would die just to sign a contract deal with them or at least be partners with them.
But a random system had just told Achiel that he owned the company? There must be something wrong somewhere. Maybe a sort of malfunction. He has to go and make sure that this is not an error.
He hurried towards the building and looked. It was a thousand story building, magnificent and decked with opulence.
The view of the building alone could water down his hope of being a staff member here, let alone the owner of this magnificent business structure.
Achiel quickly brought out his phone and dialled the number that had just called him. But the call was not going through.
He was a little confused and complained,
"Why is this number not going all of a sudden? Why is it out of service? Or was that a prank call? Did someone try to prank me?"
When he remembered that not long ago, the system had shown him the remaining balance of his money, he was three hundred billion down.
"This can't be a prank. Maybe something went wrong somewhere."
He turned and looked around. Then he saw two security guards walking towards him.
"You shouldn't be here." One of the security guards said firmly to him.
"Sorry for disturbing you, but I have a reason for coming here, and I'm trying to sort it out. Please give me a moment." Achiel explained.
Achiel turned away from the men, trying to look if someone would at least come his way.
What if the person doesn't know him in person, wouldn't this be something very inconveniencing?
It was enough that he was trying to deal with the huge money he hit, and now, he owns Hoveland? How would he explain it to these unfriendly guards? Who would believe that he owns Hoveland?
He must think of something else. He was still thinking of a way,
"Do you want to receive some good beatings?! Is that when you would know that this place is not for you?!" Another security guard yelled at him.
"You shouldn't talk too much to this loser. Throw him out of this place right now, or should I do it for you!" The guard who seemed older yelled.
"Okay. I'll leave. I'm sorry for disrupting your duty." Achiel bowed softly to them and turned to leave.
"Who told you you can just leave as you want? After you've created a scene here? You must have a lot of imaginations." A guard threatened.
The guards looked like they wanted to gang up on him.
"I understand that I was wrong for idling around, but I wouldn't have come if I didn't have a reason. In short, I have proof. Here's it." Achiel defended.
Achiel showed his phone to the guards to show them the message he had just received. But suddenly, he felt a wave of hand, which hit his hand to the side. Before he could tell what was happening, he saw his phone flying away. It landed and crashed.
"You broke my phone?!" Achiel suddenly got annoyed.
He had been patient enough for these guards.
"Oh, are you worried about your phone? Do you know what I will break next? Guess... your nose!" The security man swung his hand to hit Achiel in the face.
"Hey! What is going on there?" A sudden male voice came from a distance.
The guard couldn't hit Achiel anymore as everyone looked.
There was a man dressed in brown tailored suits. His shoes were shinny, and his aura majestic. It was obvious that he was a privileged and supposedly work in Hoveland.
When the guards saw the man, they bowed.
"Mr Arold. Please be merciful on us. We didn't know that our voices were so loud. We were only trying to kick this bum off the premises of the company. He must have come here to steal something." One of the guards said in defence.
Mr Arold lifted his gaze to look at Achiel. He had contempt in his face as he looked at Achiel from his head to toe.
"Do you have an explanation for yourself, or do you want to be thrown in jail?" Mr Arold sneered at Achiel.
Mr Arold kept his distance from Achiel, as though Achiel was garbage.
"I - I ..." Achiel stuttered.
Achiel was going to explain himself when hurrying footsteps were heard. It was another man. The brand of the suit of the new man was more quality than that of Arold.
When the guards saw the new man, they dropped on their knees. Arold also looked terrified as he bowed. Obviously, the new man was much more important.
When the new man got to them, he was looking around as though he was looking for something.
"Did any of you see a car drive into the premises? We are expecting a very great person!!!" The new man said.
Arold lifted his gaze at once,
"Mr Ari, I just stepped out of my office to do the same thing, but I have not seen any car drive by. I was busy looking around when I heard the guards shouting. When I walked closer, I realised that they had caught a bum who wanted to steal from us." Arold lied.
Arold had much disgust in his face as he glared at Achiel. Achiel never knew this Arold man in his life. Why would Arold hate him so much at first sight?
Achiel didn't bother to explain himself this time. If Arold could say such a thing, who would Mr Ari listen to? A strange man or the staff?
Mr Ari stared at Achiel for a while, then looked to Arold,
"Leave this to the guards. Keep looking around, I will go and report to Miss Zoe that he's not here yet." Mr Ari said.
Arold bowed, and Mr Ari turned to leave.
"You should thank your stars." Arold growled at Achiel.
Arold turned to walk away in an oppositedirection. Achiel walked to pick up his phone.
Suddenly, Mr Ari stopped walking. Arold and every other person noticed it and stopped too. Achiel also stopped. Maybe Mr. Ari had a change of mind and wanted to punish Achiel.
Mr Ari turned to Arold,
"You know what. Let's do it together. I'll call the VVIP man right away." Mr Ari said.
Mr Ari brought out his phone and dialled the number.
The line went through. Achiel's phone rang at the same time. Arold glared at Achiel.
"You better keep that damn phone shut. My boss is calling a very important person." Arold yelled at Achiel.
Instead of listening to Arold, Achiel walked closer to Mr Ari and answered the call. He put the call on speaker.
"Mr Achiel?" Mr Ari said over the speaker.
The exact same words that Mr. Ari said were repeated on the speaker of Achiel's phone.
