"Right now? Isn't it like four o'clock?" She replied with a confused look.
"The airplane leaves in two hours, so we have to hurry up." I said, wiggling the two airplane tickets in the air.
The moment I was ready to leave it crossed my mind that Miss Ahiko would probably be worried if she woke up and I had completely vanished.
Thus I decided to write a letter explaining my sudden departure.
After some minutes of writing I heard Kaguya saying "Are you done? The clock is ticking as you said. We're gonna be late."
"Yea, yea, I know."
After leaving the letter I climbed out of the window and walked to the gate.
Before leaving I took a look again at the orphanage. It was like I had a feeling I wouldn't see that place ever again.
But these thoughts immediately disappeared as Kaguya snapped me back to reality by giving me a smack on my neck.
I was ready to return the hit but if she got angry that wouldn't be beneficial for our relationship.
Thus I ended up just calling a taxi to take us to the airport.
And as the orphanage wasn't close at all to the airport it took us forty-five minutes to arrive at our destination.
In the way neither of us talked. I was thinking of how my life was about to dramatically change once I leave the country. Actually it changed the moment I summoned Kaguya. She on the other side didn't say a word probably because she had stuck her head on the window and was looking at the city with excitement.
I couldn't blame her. It's a beautiful city, especially at night. The lights from the houses, the stores and the public facilities gives it a different vibe than it has at day.
I took my luggage from the back seat and after paying the driver I walked inside the airport.
I was fascinated by its size and the numerous facilities it had inside.
But seeing that I had only half an hour before the departure I rushed to the security check.
After placing my luggage on the conveyor belt and being checked thoroughly by the security guards, I gave the two tickets to the person who was standing in front of me.
He looked at them and showed me which air bridge leads to the airplane.
I thanked him and followed his directions to board the plane.
Afterwards I gave the air-attentat the tickets and she led us to our seats.
In the beginning I was confused as we were passing all the other people in there and moving closer to the cockpit.
But we stopped before reaching it, after passing through a door that revealed another set of seats, but a lot more luxurious this time.
The only thing I saw when I took the tickets was the departure time and the destination. I never thought that they would be for the VIP seats.
"It may not be so annoying having that God around." I thought while sinking on my incredibly soft seat.
The flight time is more than fourteen hours so that means I'll spend half a day here with her.
And with that though I slowly turned my head towards Kaguya who once again had stuck her head on the window.
I could see her excitement through her reflection in the mirror.
She looked like a hungry animal that had just spotted its prey and was waiting impatiently to attack.
I, on the other hand, just relaxed on my seat and got ready to sleep.
Although to tell the truth because I hadn't been in an airplane before I also took sneaky peeks from the window during the liftoff.
But once that spectacle was over I immediately fell asleep.
Actually not quite immediately, as I knew that Kaguya would ask lots of questions about the airplane, so I tried to look like I had fallen asleep. But even with my eyes closed I could feel her staring intensely at me.
In the end I don't know how much time it took, but surely she was staring at me for at least fifteen minutes.
Upon opening my eyes I found myself in the middle of a street.
I ignored the fact that I was already on my feet instead of being down on the ground and took a look around me.
The environment around me was kinda red, like there was a fire around me.
Ashes were falling slowly from the sky and I could see smoke building up behind the house in front of me.
In addition to the smoke there seemed to be a commotion in the direction. But on the contrary, the street I was on was completely lifeless.
Thus I followed the direction of the road, as it only had one direction. There wasn't any road behind me, only in front of me.
As I was walking I couldn't help but feel like something was completely off here, but I couldn't distinguish what it was.
The closer I was the better I could hear the noise coming from there.
In the beginning I could distinguish some murmurings and the sound of a horn, but now except from those I could hear screams and the sound of an alarm.
Once I was face to face with the incident I could clearly see the lights of an ambulance, a van that had flipped over and a crowd having surrounded the van.
Both the smoke and the scream were coming from it so I started walking closer.
I was pushing the people aside to pass through them, but as soon as I was touching them they stopped talking and were just staring at me.
As soon as I freed myself from the crowd I finally saw what was happening.
The scream was coming from a girl that had been overrun by that van, which was now laying over her.
Half of her body had been crushed by it and the blood was flowing all over, following any channel the road had.
The girl's face was for some reason blurry so I couldn't understand who she was.
But the moment I lowered a bit to take a better look someone from behind me pushed me and I fell down on all four looking straight at the girl.
Now that I could clearly see her face I had frozen. She was Sagiri.!
Her face was covered in shattered glasses, her left eye was fully red along with her hair due to the blood.
"Val, please help me. I-I can't feel my legs." She said with tears in both of her eyes.
But instead of doing something I just stood there without moving an inch.
"V-Val? You won't help me? I think I'm dying."
Although I wanted to help her, that wouldn't change anything. Sagiri is already dead and probably I am the reason.
"I hate this freaking dream." I said and got up.
"Val, what are you doing?" I could hear Sagiri's voice from beneath the van.
"Shut up will ya? I already know that this is a dream so stop trying to make me help you."
"Oh, but are you sure that it's a dream though?" Sagiri's tone changed in an instant. she didn't sound terrified or in pain, instead she sounded like she was mocking me.
The moment I turned my head to look at her, her right hand that was facing me, extended in an unnatural speed and grabbed my face.
From the smell I could tell that her hand was burned and had started to rotten.
"Well, well, well. Now are you still sure that you're in a dream, my dear Val?"
To tell the truth that hasn't happened before in my dreams, but still, it's too unrealistic to not be a dream.
"Yes, I'm pretty sure that it's a dream." I replied as calmly as I could.
"How sad."
And with that she threw me some meters back.
Without wasting any second I quickly got up only to see her crawling from beneath the van with her weirdly extended hands.
Once she was free, she got up, being supported by her two hands. I could see the blood flowing out of half of her body as the rest was still under the van. Her colon was hanging from beneath her, creating a tail of blood.
The moment she broke her neck by twisting her head one hundred eighty degrees and looked at me I knew what was going to follow.
She charged towards me at a high speed running on her two hands.
The only thing I could do was to use my arms to block her attack. But the only thing I felt was a scratch on my right hand.
The moment I felt that scratch I woke up on my seat sith my arms raised like I was blocking something.
My heart was beating faster than ever before, but thankfully I was still inside the airplane.
Kaguya was sleeping and had leaned on my left shoulder.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we will shortly arrive at our destination." The notification was heard.
"Fucking dream." I exhaled while rubbing my eyes.
"But was it really a dream?" I said looking at my right hand as I could see stains of blood appearing on my blouse.
