[You have fulfilled the requirement to start your Class Quest]

I read in books that Class Quests only exist after you reach level thirty, but there are cases like this too. I have read that Knights also gain access to Class Quests early on by choosing a lord to serve, and they receive rewards for it.

[Class Quest]

Objective: Store 10 Different Images into the Camera's Memory

Rewards: 50 EXP

-----

Ten different images? That's not hard at all. I can easily find ten different images around the mansion. However, instead of hastily snapping numerous pictures just to complete the quest, I want to focus on the quality and meaning behind each image.

I want to take my time, carefully considering the composition, and finding the perfect angle. I will retake the photo multiple times until I capture the image that truly resonates with me.

One of my first subjects is a simple vase adorned with beautiful flowers. It sits gracefully on a wooden table, positioned next to a window that bathes the flowers in soft, natural sunlight. The interplay of light and shadows creates a captivating scene, emphasizing the delicate beauty of the flowers.

With every click of the shutter, I immerse myself in the art of photography, appreciating the details and capturing the essence of the moment.

After I find the perfect shot, I try to save it into my memory. But before I can do so, it asks me to name the image.

It's an okay image, but since it's my first image taken in this world, I'll name it:

-----

[First Light]

Grade: 6/10 (Above Average Quality)

Description: The Camera-Man named it 'First Light' to commemorate his first image captured in this new world. While it may seem like an ordinary image at first glance, it holds a special significance for the photographer as it marks the beginning of his photographic journey. The composition showcases a sense of balance, and the interplay of light and shadow adds depth to the overall image.

-----

[You have gained 2 Experience Points]

-----

Multiple message screen popped out.

Reading the result that the system prompted after I saved the image into the memory, I didn't expect the system to grade the image I took. It was right to take my time and ensure good image quality.

Six out of ten with a vintage camera. Not too bad. As expected, my photography skills haven't deteriorated at all.

Since there's a grading system, I need to take it seriously and avoid taking random objects. But, out of curiosity, I want to see the response to a trash image.

I immediately try it, snapping a picture of the desk without adjusting the angle or focus.

As I examine the result of the grading system, I'm met with an unsurprising outcome.

-----

[Trash 1]

Grade: 0/10 (Very Poor Quality)

Description: The Camera-Man took this photograph hastily, without taking into account any composition or adjustments. The resulting image is of extremely poor quality, lacking any artistic value or technical proficiency.

-----

The grading system provides a clear evaluation, emphasizing the need for careful consideration and skillful execution to produce quality photographs.

I kind of want to know who's actually behind the grading system. Is it the goddess herself? Or perhaps the dragon that sent me here?

I receive no experience points at all, but there's no penalty for taking bad images, except for limited memory space.

Right now, I can only store a hundred images in the memory at a time. Thankfully, I can just delete 'Trash 1' from the memory.

This means I can actually grind experience by taking good images with my camera. There's no need for me to hunt monsters at all.

This is great news!

I had expected it since Farmers can level up by harvesting crops, and Merchants can level up by selling items. So it would make sense that a Camera-Man can level up by taking pictures.

Anyway, this is a good find.

Just as I'm about to move and leave the room to find different objects to photograph, my father returned as well.

"So, have you discovered what kind of class you received, is it any good?"

I'm glad that my father asked. I take my time and explain what a Camera-Man is and everything I know about it in simpler terms, so that he can understand. However, it still doesn't seem to connect for him.

"So in a sense you got a painter class but with a weird name?"

My father the ability of replicating an image is the same as what a painter does—literally painting what they see and replicating it on paper—except that I just take a picture and save it inside my artifact.

"Not right now, I can only save. I can't paint images at all. Maybe in the future, once I level up my artifact, I'll be able to."

I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to print images, but I hope I can.

"So for now, your class is more useless than painter." My father being awfully honest with it.

"In a sense, yes but do you really need to put it that way." I answered my father with a bitter smile.

I can definitely take an image in just a few seconds unlike painters, but I can only capture what I can see.

Painters can imagine and create whatever they like.

Now that I think about it, my biggest competitor in this world would be painters.

I never heard that painters have offensive skills at all. Maybe mine is special. The goddess doesn't know what skills I should receive, so she just came up with random skills. That could be it, but I could be just overthinking it.

"It was unfortunate that you got a useless class but you're pretty smart, so it should be fine."

I don't know if I should be happy or sad hearing that but sure...

Instead of comforting your son, you're trash talking me more.

"Well, this just settles it, for some reason, I'm glad that you didn't get a combat class, we'll cancel your swordsmanship tuition, and everything. From now on, you'll focus on developing knowledge and skills as businessman."

A part of me wanted to punch my Old Man, but he's right, the swordsmanship tuition is useless now since my childhood hope is destroyed the moment I received non-combat class.

"Right, I have an emergency business meeting in Steelport. I might be away for a full week. There's an important matter that I need to discuss with the Blackthorn family. If there's an emergency or any pressing issues, you can contact me directly or speak with Sebastian."

"Yeah... yeah... you leave on my birthday, whatever."

My father quickly escaped without waiting me to finish my sentence afraid that I would throw a tantrum, that's just how both of our relationship is.

Plus it seems to be a significant issue since he needs to go there in person to solve the problem.

Today was supposed to be the celebration day of my Blessing Ritual and also my birthday, but since my father was called away, he can't reject or make excuses at all, as his business partner is the Baroness of Blackthorne.

She's the ruler of the territory we're currently staying in and we're currently in debt with the Blackthorne for a lot of things.

She's also the reason why my father could rise from a mere commoner to become a Baron. It's only through her recommendations that my father could reach where he is now.

In other words, she brought us up and now she's also bringing us down when she doesn't need us anymore.

I have seen her a few times as a kid, but I have forgotten what she looks like or what kind of person she is.

Well, I shouldn't think about it too much.

As the only heir of Ashford, I need to work hard too. The first thing I need to do is level up my class and artifact to acquire more skills.

As soon as I step out of the room to go and take pictures, the head butler, Sebastian, is waiting for me just at the door.

"Young master, my lord has left you with a few tasks before he left."

I knew it. That old man is cunning.

I could imagine his annoying face right now. I feel much more annoyed with my past memories back.

This isn't how a father should treat a kid of fifteen years old. This is basically child labor.

He wasn't going to spare me at all since I'm smart and as capable as an adult.

Since I was five years old, I have been helping my father with his business, mostly as an accountant since my math skills are impeccable for my age.

Sometimes, I also act as an advisor, providing him with solution to solve his business problems.

"Do you need my help, young master? My lord told me to assist you with it since it's your birthday."

Hearing what Sebastian said, well, I might be wrong for once, my father is still conscious of it, I'll forgive him once for making me work on my birthday.

"It's okay, Sebastian. I can handle it on my own. You have other things to do, right?"

"Oh, young master seems to became more mature than before, to think you put yourself under my shoes. I'm touched." Sebastian pretended to cry, he's overreacting just because I acted mature for once.

Well, his overreaction wasn't that all surprising, remembering my normal behavior it makes sense, while I'm smart in many ways, I'm still an arrogant noble, basically piece of shit since I was raised as one.

I was spoiled by my father because If I don't get what I want I won't help him at all. That's how I became what I am right now.

"If young master said so, I'll leave everything to you. My apologies for not being able to assist. I'll take my leave now."

"Oh yes, I almost forgot, Happy Birthday, Young Master," Sebastian said, remembering to wish me well and immediately escaped afraid that I would change my mind.

Alright, let's get this finished so I can finally enjoy my free time as a Camera-Man.
