As I was driving to DogTown I made a call to Shie about what is going on, "So your being sent on a big gig by all of the fixers to take out another fixer that's been going around stealing there biz and getting Mercs killed on purpose from his missions that they aren't suited for?"
"You could say that, and your my only ticket for me to Enter the Black Sapphire and convince Hansen to let me Flatline one of his guests, but like I said, guy has 5% of Militechs shares so before I Flatline him I can get his shares hacked and sent directly to you by hard jacking his system to steal his detes before sending it to you." I go onto explain as I get closer to the DogTown stadium entrance.
"Haaaa…. Alright I'll talk to him and try to make it worth his while to let you walk in there for this job, but take your time until you get a call from me for the go ahead." He said with a sigh before I got out of my car as I parked it in the secure Barghest parking lot as I headed for the main entrance.
"Already, talk to you soon." I say before hanging up the call as I made my way to the gate before Barghest soldiers halted me.
"Got a pass to enter DogTown?" One of them asked before I held out the Black Dog Pass Card.
"Ahhh…. Alright Merc, go through the scanners on the far left, welcome to DogTown." The guard said before they made way for me to go through the Black Dog Entrance for Mercs who have high standing in Rogues eyes are the only ones who can get those cards which makes getting in and out of DogTown fast and easy as a result.
So I passed through the body scanner section before it gave me the green light as I passed into DogTowns Black Market.
"…. Hmmm, looks like he's made a deal with Hansen if his Nanomachienes and Robot workers have cleared most of the stadium field area, barring the old Super Carrier this place uses for power." I mutter to myself as I look over the edge of the large shopping area down to the main field where I can see blocks of materials being formed before being carried by robots and rapidly transported out, most likely used to make more buildings in Pacfica and probably in parts of DogTown proper.
If anyone asked me what he was doing then I have no real clue unless he told me as we are both the same person the whole sharing the same mind kind of thing isn't what we do and the memories we get only gets put together when we remerge with each other, but we came into agreement that I'm the one who can start new relationships for the most part, though I know both Scanty and Kneesocks have a thing for my bad self and that's why they are sticking to him in the first place.
I began to wander the Blackmarket where everything could be found for the right price but the only place I was interested in was the Blackmarket weapon vendor, he's the only one known for selling extremely illegal to own firearms along with other odds and ends he has come across from his various connections.
"Ahh now that's a face I haven't seen in awhile! So what are you buying today?" The almost completely Borged up vendor said to me as he showed off his goods.
"Hmmm…. Got any weapon schematics on you that are just too hard for you to build on your end man?" I ask as he starts tapping the side of his head while he thinks.
"Extremely rare weapon Schematics huh?…. Hmmm…. Oh! I do have this one, supposedly a schematic for a prototype SMG shotgun combo that shoots shrapnel rounds out the barrel, but what makes it very illegal is this!" He says before taking my personal link and letting me look at the schematic through my optics as the schematic popped up.
"The internal power mechanism is power by…." He says before pulling me in close to whisper, "A Rogue AI, it majorly fucks up anyone who even has a shred of Cybernetics in them by cooking them from the inside out should they get shot with enough bullets like when NetRunners get counter hacked and fried like burgers." He says before taking out my personal link after all is said and done.
"Now because of how hard it would be to make this and that I like you I'll give you a deal 100k for the schematics, cause it was real difficult to get my hands on this for you to even see in the first place." He said before crossing his arms.
"100k? C'mon man think about it? How the hell would I come across that to even make it? 50."
"50? Nah man, nah that's too low, 90."
"Do I look like I have the gear to get across the BW? 65."
"Well you must know someone or else we wouldn't be talking still, 85 is as low as I can go on this."
"Meet me in the middle at 75 and we have a deal, you already know it's a bitch and a half to even get kind of gear not to mention the other parts to make it as well." I say putting out my final offer.
"….. Haaaa, you drive a hard bargain, but you got yourself a deal 75k it is." He says before I said him the Eddie's as he nods before handing over the shard as I slot it into my head as the full details of the schematics are uploaded to my brain, though only for a moment my blue optic eyes flashed red before returning to normal.
"Pleasure doing business with you Choom." He said as we shook hands before I gave him a wave as I walked away from his booth and towards DogTown proper.
But soon after I got a call from Shie, "What did you just do?" Is the first question I was asked which seemed odd.
"What? I just bought some schematics from the Blackmarket dealer in the stadium."
"Did it have anything to do with Rogue AI's?"
"I mean yeah? Something about using a Rogue AI to power a weapon that can kill people by frying there entire nervous systems if they get shot with it to much and some shit, here I'll send you-"
"No, don't do that, I don't know how but those AI's saw you accessing the schematic with your neural port and tried to fry you through the BlackWall and failed, now NetWatch is swarming our sector of the Net to figure out what the hell is going on, but lucky for you that any of the remaining living Voodoo Boys are still trying to fuck with the Blackwall all the time so I was able to make it look like to NetWatch that it was them so they'd focus on them instead of searching for the real suspect." He told me as I began my walk to the Black Sapphire.
"Luckily you did that after the deal I made with Hansen to give two more of his runners Black-ICE Cyberware, when you reach the front door his men will let you in and access to your targets floor, also as a warning after you do the job, he wants to talk with you himself, why I don't know but if he try's to pull some shit on you just send me an SOS and I'll send my Chimera Tanks to destroy his little tower, but good luck with the job." He says before ending the call.
"Well, looks like some Rogue AI's are watching me, preem." I say sarcastically as I reach the entrance of the Black Sapphire.
Time to get this job done.
