Chapter 60 - Briar Just wants a Friend

I didn't need much time as really I only needed my blade and that was it, though I had a feeling that what the rewards imply is that whoever this 'The Restrained Hunger' must be vampiric in some sense and desires blood, so a backpack full of bloodpacks is also needed.

And seeing whoever they were was imprisoned so people will try to stop me, and they will die as a result, but I'm not going to let them stop me from my mission.

"Take me there." I say as I expedite the process before I disappear from the world once more, and move onto appear in a brand new one.

..

.

In a prison of the country of Noxus in the world of Runeterra sat a super high security prison for the crazed, unhinged, and living weapons that the regime has no way to control properly to be used in combat without losing their soldiers at the cost to have them in battle as they are unable to differentiate friend from foe.

The living weapons in particular have a extremely strong lust for bloodshed and were fueled by bloodshed thus were mad dogs that will hunt any and all that spilled so much as a drop blood.

Deep within the bowels of the prison the most dangerous of inmates resided, along with all the insane human weapons the country of Noxus had created resided down there.

"…. I'm so lonely…. Mrs. Lonely…. I have nobody…. For my own…." I voice of a young woman could be heard singing in her cell.

"Hey! Shut it in there! Nobody needs to hear your singing!" A patrolling guard said as they slammed into the heavy metal door to the prisoners cell.

After hearing the prisoner going quite they grunted before they continued their patrol like usual.

…. *Sniff Sniff* "…. I smell…. Blood…." The woman said as her dull white eyes hinted a slight tinge of blood red as she looked upwards where the smell was coming from.

*10 minutes Earlier*

After accepting the mission I soon found myself in this barren mountainous area before I looked around to see a extremely large castle like prison as a moat surrounded it with guards patrolling the walls in the distance.

"There's my target, it seems they are in the deepest parts of this prison." I say as I look at it and see the map the system gave me to pinpoint who I'm going to save all the way deep underground, at least four floors down from the main floor.

It was six stories tall with it being a total of ten floors, six above and four below, the top two were the warden and guards quarters with the rest of the floors being the prison proper with the worst being all the way at the lowest floors, hopefully not to see the light of day again.

"Well let's just get this done." I say before calculating the distance before cutting the space with Yamato before suddenly appearing on the ramparts before some patrolling guards.

"What the-"

*Slash Slash*

*Splish*

*Crumple*

"Sorry…. For cutting you down…." I say as I sheathe my blade as I now look at the dead body of the guards before turning away.

"But not really…." I then kick their bodies into the moat that is actually on both sides of the walls before the crocodiles that live in it rip the bodies apart before I cut space again and enter through the main gate without needing to open it.

Soon enough I began to saunter my way into the prison, cutting down any guards that got in my way before they could shout in alarm with my unparalleled speed with the sword.

I left bloody foot prints in my wake as the more people I cut down with my blade the further down I went.

*WOOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo*

Though by the time I had gotten two floors down, the alarm had finally been sounded as massive gates began to fall to block my path as the guards began to rush to me to deal with their intruder.

"You think just these metal gates will get in my way?" I muttered to myself before I preformed several 'blink' cuts before the gate was shattered before me as I kept moving forward.

*****

"I can smell it…. So…. Sooo much blood…." The girl muttered as she gulped and felt her overwhelming hunger beginning to consume her.

"Hurry it up! The intruder has already reached B3 and is making his way to B4! We can't let him do whatever he wants to get whoever he's after down here!" She heard a guard shout out as she heard the sound of heavy foot steps running past her cell heading for the stairs that lead upwards to the next floor.

"I wonder…. Will I not be lonely anymore?" She asks herself as maybe she will soon be free, but doubts whoever it is, is coming for her….

"UGH!"

"GAH!"

"NO! NO! PLEASE WAIT I- GUKAH!"

She could hear the sounds of battle not far from her cell and the screams of pain and the falling of bodies as they were cut down and the intense smell of blood fill the air as a result.

She was so hungry, but the pillory around her neck was restraining her and not giving her any release as she could only roll around and growl as the hunger was driving her crazy.

*Step Step Step* she then heard everything go quiet, besides the insane howls of the other imprisoned living weapons wanting freedom, as the sound of footsteps got closer and closer before she saw a figure sanding in front of her cells door before they stopped.

*Slash Slash Slash*

The sound of a blade cutting across the metal cell door could be heard before seeing the many crisscrossing lines could be seen as a massive kick was sent at the door, shattering it in the process letting in the bright light into this dimly lit cell.

The sudden influx of light made her close her eyes not to look at it before her eyes adjusted to see the young man that stood before her.

She then looked at him before she saw him reach into the bag on his back and pulling out a small bag filled with red liquid.

*Sniff Sniff* "Is That…. Blood?" She said as her eyes became even more red than they usually were at the chance of drinking fresh blood.

"Yes, it's time we got you out of here, don't you want to be free?" I ask her as I toss her the blood pack which she grabs before ravenously bitting into and drinking the blood up voraciously in less than a second.

After she had finished the red gem on her pillory glowed in a bright red light before she looked up at me with a bloodstained smile on her face.

"Sure! Let's get out of this place friend!" She said happily as she jumped up and approached me with a big toothy smile on her face as blood still dropped down from her mouth.

I smile slightly before ruffling her hair as I stood a head taller than her, me being 6ft and her being 5'4", which she just smiled at before she followed after me as we exited the cell.

*Gulp* she looked hungrily at the bodies on the ground as she saw the blood flowing everywhere before we both saw a full platoon of guards run down the stairs before they saw us as they prepared their swords and halberd's as they faced us.

"Damnit! He released that beast and even fed it blood! Kill him and put it back in its cage!" One who looked like a captain of this group of guards said as he pointed at us.

"How rude, you could at least call her a 'her' and not an 'it', but it seems your parents didn't teach you manners." I say as I grab at the hold of my blade as I looked at them with a bored look.

"Grrr! You trying to stop me and my friend! You want to kill my only friend!…." She started to growl out as she hunched over as her hair covered her face.

*Creak! Crack! Snap!*

Her pillory glowed an ominous red light before I heard her strain against it before it 'broke' apart as her fingers became like claws and the pillory parts became like jagged arm scythes as her hair began to flow upwards as her eyes turned blood red as she rapidly lifted her head up to look at the guards who took a step back in fear.

"Your not friends! Your enemies! And enemies…." She said as she tended her legs before leaping into the air before falling towards them with a sharp toothed bloody maw open before their terrified eyes.

"ARE FOOD!!!!" She says as she begins the slaughter upon those poor souls.

'And I was called 'The Beast' back then, but this is what a real Beast looks like.' I internally say as I watched the carnage unfold before me.

Well, it's no skin off my bones.
