*To All Subcon Mercenary's, Criminal Activity around the JigJig street area* I heard in my ears from my earbuds while I was looking through BD's in the XBD store as Sasha was thinking about 'experimenting' in the bedroom while inside some hyper realistic XBD.
"Here, I'll take these ones Mikey." I say to the cashier as I hand him the three XBD's of 'Love Machine' 'JoyToy Wonderland' & 'How I Met Your Mothers' which altogether costed about 300 Eddie's which with my money wasn't even chump change as I said my thanks and left the store.
"Alright what dumb fuck TygerClaws are fucking up JigJig Street? Don't they know this is Wakako's area?" I mutter to myself as either it's TigerClaws or Scavs causing issues but I had and inkling it was TygerClaws as this is there area but JigJig street specifically is off limits to them by their higher ups.
So pulling out my tech shotgun as I walk down the road towards where the crime is at most citizens give me a wide birth but those who know me wave or give me a fist bump since my fame and street cred is high for NC I'm not a legend yet but I am one of the more famous Edgerunners on the streets still.
Though I turn a corner I hear screams and people running in panic with gunshots and the sound of blades clashing so I booked it as I made my way over.
But by the time I made it, it was already over as bodies laid on the ground, civie's, Claws and Scavs lay there dead with only three people standing over them but they weren't apart of any of the gangs I know by heart by now.
They weren't Militech, Arasaka or KangTao either or any minor corp either and as I did a scan I saw that they had no 'chrome' anywhere in there bodies, no neural ports nothing but I could see that there bodies were instead fully reinforced with BioWare instead.
BioWare itself technically has no chrome to it but has Nanomachines running throughout your body to slowly reinforce everything to the maximum degree of human limits and while a bit cheaper than getting actual chrome put in it takes much longer for your body to enhance itself.
As for how they looked they had long red or black trench coats on while wearing military grade body armor underneath that was sleek enough to be hidden under there trench coats along with black or red pants and boots with military grade ballistic masks with infrared sights apart of the helmets.
On their helmets, trench coats and even there pants was a white cross being grasped by a blood soaked hand which seemed to be there symbol.
Though they soon noticed me, "Borg scum!" They shouted at me before drawing there guns at me and taking fire as I jumped behind a parked car for cover.
More shots rang out as bullets were beginning to tear the car apart from them and once I smelled smoke I had to use my reflexes to dash to another car nearby.
*KABOOOM!!!*
"What's these guys deal?" I mutter to myself before I take aim with my precision tech rifle as I aimed at one of them I had marked before shooting through the car with a fully charged shot as it slammed into the fucker.
"Ugh!" It was a clean center mass hit that sent the guy flying but because it went through a car before hitting his body as most of the body armor held up against the shock but clearly a few ribs were cracked or broken from that hit for sure.
"Borg piece of shit! You'll pay for that!" I heard one shout out as I saw through there body outline as they pulled the pin on a grenade and began to toss it making me have to dash out from cover as I had to pull out my Liberty pistol as my Kerenzikov kicked in while I took aim while gun sliding.
Everyone began to slow down in my eyes including myself but my body could respond faster as I took aim at there exposed necks and took fire.
*Bang! Bang!*
Two shots rang out as the two still standing grabbed at there throats as time went to normal speed as they dropped their guns as they slowly bled to death as I reloaded my gun as I went over to the only living one that was down on the ground.
I then kicked his weapon away and even opened his jacket and tossing it as it had an assortment of knives, pistols and grenades inside it before I ripped off his helmet to get a better look at the guy.
He didn't look any different from any other average Joe on the street but what stuck out was the same symbol on his clothes tattooed on the length of his neck, but it had the word 'Inquisitor' along the length of the blood covered hand.
"Alright asshole talk! Who the fuck are the Inquisitors huh?!" I say placing my gun upside his dome.
But instead of fear her just grinned at me, "I'll never talk to a Borg scum like you…." He said as his eyes glowed in an orange red light before he began to froth at the mouth before his head went slack as he Flatlined himself.
"Motherfucker!" I said dropping his head and putting my gun away as the police began to finally arrive at the crime scene before they got out and drew their guns on me.
"Freeze! NCPD! Hands where I can see them!" A man shouts though I'm familiar with the voice as I look over my shoulder with my hands up.
"Stints? What are you doing in Japantown? I thought Heywood was your district." I say looking over to Officer Stints who seeing me held up his hand to the others who put there guns down.
(N) If you played the Street Kid intro to Cyberpunk 2077, he's one of the cops that beat the shit out of V and Jackie.
"Stand down guys, I know for a fact this Merc wouldn't pull shit like this." He says to the others as they put there guns away before calling for ambulances to clear the street of bodies.
"Hifumi, the hell happened here?" Stints said as he came up to me as I leaned down to the guy who flatlined himself as I turned his neck to give Stints a good look at his tats.
"I dunno, you tell me, any clue who these Inquisitors are?…. And by the look on your face you do know who they are." I say looking up at him as he was massaging his eyes as if he got a massive headache.
"Haaaa…. I'll give you a brief history lesson, these assholes? These guys were around back during the time of 'The Red' after the 2023 nuclear blast at the old Arasaka Towers location and were still around up until the 2050's, these fucks hunt down anyone with even the slightest bit of chrome in them but Maelstrom supposedly killed them all off in 2055 and they haven't been seen since." He says before taking out a cig and smoking it.
"If you want more info I suggest asking the Fixer Queen herself, after all she was around when they were at there height when it all happened, anyway you'll get your Eddie's for the job, a bit extra since this is important that the NCPD knows about this now." He told me as his eyes lit up as I got 8k Eddie's into my account, it's barely anything but money is money so I'll take what I can get.
"Alright, I'll get out of the way then, see you around Stints." I pat the guy on the shoulder as I called up my new Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X as I hopped on and sped off to the AfterLife.
I guess nobody does expect the Inquisition, especially in a world like CyberPunk's.
