LEONARDO MASSIMO
I watched Alexa leave and felt we had a connection or something I couldn't quite figure out. I felt something stirred up in me and really couldn't get a hang on it.
"Dad, I'm headed to the airport now and guess what, I just had the strangest of all experience dad." I spoke to my father on the phone as I boarded a taxi to the airport.
"Tell me about it son, if you are calling it means you can't wait until you get to Italy." My dad said already knowing and stopping whatever I think he may be doing. Dad was my best friend and we tell each other everything but I often feel he holds out on me, I came to the conclusion that my age may determine what he lets me know.
"Alright, so I met this very beautiful female at the square, I literally felt drawn to her. Before now, I have had this very deafening loud drum playing in my head for the past five days or so. But it reduced the moment I saw her and totally stopped when I spoke to her. Although, something strange did happen." I said and felt my dad's voice deepen which got me a bit worried.
"Tell me about it." Dad said in a rather serious voice which was what he used when talking about business or serious issues.
"Well, when our bodies touched, I saw two lines sparkling with something that looked like an electric current that ran for a long time and suddenly joined together into a big beautiful blossom and continued as just one line. Dad, are you still there?" I asked when I felt he was no longer with me.
"Yes Leo, I'm here. Just continue." He said in a very shaken voice.
"The strangest part is that we both saw the same thing. I mean the same electric charge current." I said and my dad kept quiet. "Dad, are you still there?" I asked again now worried.
"This lady, what's her name?" He asked softly.
"Alexa"
"Did you get her surname?" Dad asked.
"No I didn't"
"Is there a way you can locate her later if you want to?"
"No Dad." I said and I heard him sigh in frustration. Something was definitely up and dad doesn't want to tell me.
"Have you boarded?"
"I just did now. Dad what's going on?" I asked now worried.
"Nothing Leonardo, I just go an email that has rattled me a little. I'm sorry, it has nothing to do with you. I'll see you when you get here, have a safe trip. Now don't go about hugging all the strangers you meet." Dad said and hung up the phone which further increased my curiosity. I guess I'll see him in a few hours time and I'll know better.
ALEXA KLAUS
I woke up from sleep troubled, my life has been an indirect form of incarceration beautifully covered with family love and all the we have your best thought at heart nonsense. I was certain that my folks were hiding something from me and always seemed to want me around at all cost. I didn't have the same freedom Andras my brother had, I didn't have any friends, I don't visit or receive visitors. I thought of Leonardo and still couldn't place it, it felt surreal yet I knew I wanted him. I wanted to hear his voice again only then did I remember that I didn't get his contact and didn't get his full name either, so I can't even search for him on social media.
"Hey, you are awake?" Andras said stepping into my room. I looked at him and for the first time I had questions.
"Yes I am, What's up?" I said sitting up a bit surprised that he was coming to my room for the first time in like forever.
"Stop looking at me that way?" He said sitting on the bed.
"What way?"
"I don't know, the way you'd look at a foe. I'm not the enemy here." He said with a smile.
"My bad, it's just that there are so many firsts happening at the same time, it's enough to be worried." I said relaxing a bit.
"How do you mean?"
"Well, this is the first time you are entering my room, this is the first time you are asking how I am since Mom died and this is also the first time you've said a word to me in three years. Yet, we live in the same house." I said with emotions just stating the obvious.
"I get, I'd be suspicious too if the tables turned. I'm sorry, Dad told me you've been having strange dreams of late. I just wanted to know how you are doing." He said with fake sincerity. I could spot it in his voice, it's one thing I know am good at.
"Yes, about that, I have been having strange dreams but it stopped." I said absent-mindedly.
"It stopped? When exactly?" he asked with some agitation that struck a chord in me. I raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Stop doing that, I'm just excited that it stopped. Dad painted a rather horrible picture of the whole thing." He explained.
"I really don't know, I just know that I have not had it for some days now and I have been indoors for some days now." I lied, the dream had stopped just this night. The dreams were different versions of the same dream and were so scary, so much so that I know it will come even before I go to bed but all that changed last night. I had felt a certain peace and calmness after meeting Leonardo.
"That's good news Alexa, I'm really happy for you. I'm really sorry I've left you all by yourself ever since Mom died, I truly am. I will do better moving forward." He said and got up and left. I was a bit confused. I've had no one to talk to, Andras seemed more interested in having an orgy every day of his life ever since Mom had died mysteriously. I later found out from a maid that she was killed during a battle with the Searchers. Who the hell are the Searchers? I had asked and she ran away fearing for her life. She had told me the walls have ears and was certain she'll pay for this. True to her words, she disappeared a few days later.
"Thank you Andras, I really appreciate it." I said deciding it was time to be a daddy's girl and find some answers, Andras came fishing, it's time I go fishing also. I searched for my father and couldn't find him, and was told that he was at his private quarters. Which meant the Penthouse of the Klaus building and I decided to go worry the hell out of him.
