Dear Ancestors
"Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!"
"WTF!!"
Two different voices rang in the silent hallway of the top floor of 'Sora Healthcare Hospital'.
"Are you alright?" A nurse asked timidly.
Zade instead of replying like a normal human being will do, blasted off on the poor nurse.
"DO I LOOK LIKE FINE TO YOU?!" He yelled at the nurse.
Max tried his best to cool down his erupting boss, though he was failing miserably.
"Zade, lower down your goddamn voice!! You are attracting a crowd." Max whisper-yelled into Zade's ears. While he tried to help his boss, to keep him standing straight.
"Thank you for your help. Also, sorry for making a mess. I sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience."
Just when Zade was about to speak, Max threw a menacing glare at him.
And it did work. Zade gulped back his fury.
"Daisy, I seriously think that an animal had escaped the zoo. We should inform the authorities about it creating havoc in hospitals."
Vivian said, looking at the disheveled appearance of her archenemy.
"Why are you so quiet? Are you also afraid of that animal?" Vivian asked her assistant although her focus of attention still remained on Zade.
Daisy tried her best to put an end to her boss's provocation.
"Viv, let's go back." Daisy again begged her boss.
'One day, I'll die because of the constant heart attacks my dear boss loves to give me.' Daisy wanted to cry out loud.
Zade clenched his fist, "Max, can we go from here? Now?" Max could figure out that his boss's patience will snap again if he had to hear Vivian again.
Meanwhile, Vivian let out a victorious smile, listening to Zade.
"Someone is too scared? Daisy, no need to call zoo authorities. That animal has calmed down."
Vivian declared.
She turned her wheelchair away from Zade's direction.
"Hope, we never get to see each other again, Joker."
Just when Max and Daisy sighed together with relief, thinking that they avoided another bloody dispute.
They were proven wrong.
"Princess, you will regret calling me a Joker again. Mark my words." Zade remarked. His voice was harsh and rigid.
The hallway went dead silent. Everyone present there could hear their heartbeats.
The two poor assistants wanted nothing more than to drag their respective bosses away that instant.
Vivian clutched the handle of the wheelchair.
"The game is on." She replied with her back still towards him.
Daisy, standing behind the wheelchair, worriedly looked at Vivian.
Amelia asked her daughter as soon as she saw her. "Why did you scream, Viv?"
Daisy, who was about to speak, zipped her mouth.
Amelia raised her eyebrows when Vivian and Daisy remained quiet.
"Zade, are you fine? I heard you yelling." Chloe enquired.
Max knew that this hospital was about to turn into a battleground. He began to chew on his nails like he always does in nervousness.
'Please, my dear ancestors. I did no wrong to you. I want to live.' He earnestly prayed.
Max wasn't a believer in god but since the day he found out about the animosity between his boss, Zade, and Ms. Vivian Reese. He had become a firm believer.
'Only God can save me.'
While Max was lost in his world, Chloe kept throwing questions at her son.
"Zade Warner! I demand an answer. You got a mouth so use it well." Being done with silence treatment, Chloe had to resort to hard measures.
This time she didn't ask him, rather she demanded.
Both Amelia and Chloe disregarded each other and focused on their children.
Vivian exhaled a tired breath, "Mom, can we go now? I'll tell you everything at home. I'm really feeling tired."
Even Zade tried to skip his mother's interrogation with the excuse of exhaustion.
"Mom, let's go back home."
However, their mothers didn't give in to them.
"Amelia and Vivian, we are going back," Nathan spoke out.
"Max, take Zade to the car. We are going." Kevin said.
Amelia and Chloe also agreed, realizing well enough about the situation. They knew if they stayed there for long, they would be on television.
Soon both families took their leave along with their bodyguards.
Immediately, the atmosphere changed. The hospital staff working on the VIP floor were used to such incidents yet today they could feel real danger.
While everyone was still lost in the aftershock, Steve along with his colleague arrived at the VIP floor.
He observed the horrified and stunned faces of the people there.
He walked over to a male nurse, "What happened here? Why do you all look as if you have seen some ghost?"
The poor guy let out a shriek as Steve put his hands on his shoulder.
"Ayo! What the heck! Why are you screaming?" Steve cried out. With a hand on his heart, he could feel it racing.
The nurse realized his mistake and apologized.
Steve forgave him and asked, "Why does everyone seem to be so shocked?"
The guy narrated to him the entire incident that took place in front of his eyes.
"When the lady in the wheelchair was about to ride over the foot of the man with a sling. His friend pulled him closer. Also, that lady stopped herself before crashing into another nurse.
The whole scenario was so much similar to those dramas that my girlfriend forces me to watch with her…."
Then the nurse went with his flow and started to talk which was more of a complaint about his girlfriend.
"Steve, do you know which two patients the nurse was talking about?" His colleague friend raised a question out of pure curiosity.
Steve nodded his head, "They are the ones I told you about in the morning."
"Go back to your work," Steve instructed every staff member.
He understood his friend wanted to talk about Zade and Vivian more but right now he had tons of work left to do. So he also ran away leaving his friend alone there.
__________
"I can't let her know about this now. How will I even tell her? She will hate me. I need to talk with him first, Kevin."
__________
"He can't know about that promise now. It's already a mess. Before anything, I must have a chat with Nathan."
