Aldrich flipped to the final few pages left in the book, hoping to find clues about the affinity the system wanted him to acquire.
"Chaos Affinity and Origin Affinity", Aldrich mumbled, looking at the final two affinities.
[ Name: Origin Affinity
Description: Allows the user to wield the source of all magic affinities to use the mana present in the world itself, creating endless possibilities for any type of attack. The Emperor was rumoured to have this Origin affinity, but it could never be confirmed.
Method to gain affinity: Unknown.

Aldrich was quite interested in looking at the Origin affinity's description, "If I can use the source of all affinities, then it means I can utilize the attributes from all of them? Or I get something which far exceeds the existing affinities. I also have the map to the Emperor's ruins, which might provide me with a path to gain this affinity", Aldrich thought as he realized that he was finally closer to understanding different affinities.
He flipped to the last page, only to see three lines written on it.
[ Name: Chaos Affinity
Description: Destroyer of Magic
Method to gain affinity: Unknown,

"System, is it one of those two affinities?" hoping his new authority might give him access to some answers.
[Yes.]
"But which one, one of them, gives me access to the source of magic affinities, whereas the other one will lead me to destroy all other magic." Aldrich felt like he had reached a forked road where it would be impossible to turn back if he took one of the paths.
The path to true magic, or the path to destruction of magic.
[That's your choice to make]
"What path will you take, Aldrich," Lyra said, closely looking at her screen.
"ugh, I don't have a way to get these affinities right now anyway; I will see when I gain more information" Aldrich shrugged as he returned the notebook to Brent.
"So, which one do you think you can get? Honestly, with the help of your summons, you don't need an affinity, so don't hurry over a decision", Brent said.
"I will see; thanks for your help", Aldrich said as two shadows entered the store, and Nysa and Remi emerged from within them.
"Aldrich, I have decided to train here till I'm strong enough to aid you", Remi said, bowing to Aldrich.
Aldrich knew something like this might happen, as Remi was severely outclassed when dealing with a horde of enemies. He agreed to Remi's decision, as it would help him contact Brent even easier, increasing Remi's strength.
Aldrich went back to his mansion and lay down on his bed, thinking about his choices, "True magic or its destroyer", He knew he couldn't make up his mind.
"AAARGH" he screamed before standing up.
"Let's go to a dungeon; I need to reach the second star quick", he decided to take his mind off the current situation.
Aldrich stood in front of the E-rank Dungeon.
The Rank of Dungeons ranged from F to SSS.
F-rank dungeons consisted of weak monsters and a limited area, whereas the dungeons from rank B to ahead started containing an entire world.
Mages believed Dungeons connected us to different planets, but it was just a theory until SSS rank dungeons appeared.
The last time an SSS rank dungeon showed up was 1000 years ago, creating the most extensive invasion in the history of the Empire.
It was the first time monsters came out of the Dungeon gate without an outbreak. The Dragons that left the Dungeon wreaked havoc throughout the Empire before the Dungeon was sealed by the Founder of the Drakewind Family.
[Host has entered an E-ranked Dungeon]
Aldrich looked around; the Dungeon was way bigger than the Skeleton graveyard.
He noticed two giant Monsters running his way,
"Aaah, I missed this feeling so much" Aldrich looked at the monsters rushing towards him,
He took out his twin swords and leapt towards the monsters with high speed, turning him invisible to the mindless Ogres, and their necks went flying before Ogres could sense Aldrich.
[You have killed an E-rank monster]
[You have killed an E-rank monster]
Aldrich felt exhilarated. Over the past few days, a lot had occurred, including the issue with Ravensong's family, His own affinity, the system, and his family.
Aldrich slashed the Ogres, revealing the killing intent that had pent up over the past few days.
Aldrich knew that he could not create a massacre to get his answers. It was not the destroyed society he was used to. This world still had a ruler, and society was still in place. But he could not eliminate the killing intent he had created over the years of battles.
"Come at me, you fuckers" Aldrich summoned two large spears of mana before throwing them towards the coming horde of Ogres, destroying them in a second.
Utilizing mana without an attribute exhausted his mana way more quickly, but it was his only option before he found a solution.
Aldrich sensed three Big Ogres coming his way as he stepped back and made space between him and the Big Ogres.
The ogres lunged forward, each wielding massive, crude weapons. Aldrich leapt into action, his blades dancing with precision as he engaged the first Ogre. Dodging its club with a swift roll, he sliced through its knee tendons, bringing the creature to its knees. With a final strike, he delivered a decisive blow to its heart.
Aldrich saw two Big Ogres rushing to avenge their fallen comrade. Aldrich pivoted, his movements fluid and graceful, weaving between their attacks. He deflected their heavy swings, taking advantage of any opening to strike.
Aldrich infused his twin blades with mana as he slashed the incoming horde of Ogres with incredible ease, killing them in a single hit.
Aldrich realized that his raw mana was deadly to these monsters. He looked around to see the massacre of the Ogres before checking the system notifications.
Aldrich remembered that he could also evolve his summons; he opened the system to check the requirements.
