Aria was fighting using the greatsword she had ordered the Academy to make. In contrast, Carl was using his shield as the two exchanged blows, not backing down.
Aria enveloped her greatsword in flames as she leapt towards Carl, slashing her sword against his shield.
Carl was pushed back by Aria's strong attack, but he flared his mana, as the shield in his hand transformed into miniature shields on his wrists. He leapt towards Aria, smashing his shield onto Aria's greatsword using his punches.
Aria blocked his attacks using her weapon, but was slowly being pushed back.
She noticed that Carl was grinning, and suddenly stepped back, but she was too late. Carl smashed his two shields together, releasing all the mana that had been built up inside them. A huge wave of mana rushed towards Aria with incredible speed.
