Chapter 1 - Prologue - The Little Criminal

It was at night, in a dark tavern whose name on the sign could not be read, inside, in addition to being a tavern, it also acted as a cabaret and casino, and beyond the regiments of the law, a brothel to unleash the lowest passions of the clients, all with a smell of cigarette smoke, that strong stench of beer and drunk people, the slight smell of the sweat of the people who fornicated wildly in the back of the canteen, and bad smell of the bathrooms, accompanied by a twisted jazz musical with vague and outlandish rhythms, a slight light came in through the window, one of those days when the moon was not going to disappear for nothing, the moans sounded loud, the drunken chatter and the sobs of the people no luck at roulettes they were also incessant, if it weren't for the fact that all the customers are under the influence of alcohol, and all their workers received a good pay, that place would be empty without a doubt.

It was a canteen full of people with wild attitudes, men with carnal desires that sprouted from their pores, women willing to do anything for a few coins, the workers seemed like slaves, suffering from any mistreatment without complaining even once, it was clear that it was not a peaceful tavern, nor was it close to it, for the sight of a normal person, who rarely dared to enter, this was the place where the scourge and dregs of society met, and it was not a concept so wrong to say.

A group of men, three in total, entered the tavern, they were stocky men, terrifying aspects, which caused fear in the men who came to have fun, made their looks uncomfortable with women, and even alerted the bartenders, men who they seemed rude, that could say more than it should be said, they were part of the mafia of that adobe and cobblestone city.

The gazes of those men went wide, on each of the people who tragically walked in there, their gazes filled with that horrible deadly sin that was greed, which made customers fazed and the fear they had gnawed at their brains, It was a kind of brainwashing, for them, by saying give me everything, they automatically forced fearful customers to give them what they had on top.

These men approached the bar, they wanted to talk to the bartender, while everyone was silent, the bartender, a gallant and brave person, with a calm but imposing way of speaking, told all his waiters, bartenders and workers.

— Well, everyone can take the night off, go to the back.

One of the men looked at what the bartender did and told him.

– No one will leave.

– You won't tell me what I do with my employees.

However, the bartender answered him, without any type of fear in him, such a serene attitude was impressive, he filled anyone with confidence, although he did not know if that would work when facing those guys, immediately the men sat at the bar after removing to the customers there, then the one who seemed to be the leader, looked at the bartender and said.

– Good evening, Terrence.

Terrence, the name of the bartender, looked at the guy and then with the disdain that this man deserved, he told him.

– You shouldn't come here, you scare away my clientele.

— I don't do it with pleasure and you know it.

– If you don't like it, you shouldn't come here... you're just wasting my time...

The leader of those men looked at him with a slight smile, a smile that caused fear, it was normal, but perhaps the attitude or look of the man made you shudder just looking at him, he looked at the bartender who, not a single gram of fear had in his body, then he told him.

– You have my money?

Terrence's neutral face never changed, so Terrence said something strange to him.

- Money? Do I owe you money?

"Sure, why else would I be here in this pigsty?"

— To r*pe my pr*stitutes? I know what happened last week… those women don't sleep with men because they want to… they do it out of necessity… you should pay them if you're going to do something like that to them…

— They're wh*res, Terrence... in fact, the one I r*ped moaned with pleasure.

— How would I moan from pleasure with only two minutes, Gyola? She cried for that... and I don't allow my pr*stitutes to cry for a client, much less for a r*pist...

Gyola, the leader of those men, smiled madly, a smile that bordered on madness, then he asked Terrence.

– Will you stop me, Terrence?

— Of course, if I don't do it, no one else will... the organization ignores what happens in these parts... the people's justice would have to be delivered.

— I did not suppose that a man who runs a canteen, a casino and a brothel would have scruples and less, moral...

— I am an older man who understands the meaning of life... at least, of my own life... you, however, are a pushy man who thinks that by being strong and by the fact that the law does not have a strong hand in these places you can do what you want... but believe me, someday you will be caught up in justice from which you will not be able to escape... the divine justice...

— A man who makes white slaves traffic with scruples and religious... wow... you do get strange things in the slums...

Gyola got closer to Terrence, seeing him face to face and with an arrogant attitude, of a true narcissist and ill-begotten of life, he told Terrence.

— Do you think you are capable of imparting the divine justice of which you speak?

Terrence looked at him with a lot of disdain and tranquility, then he answered him.

— Of course, I can give you a beating that you will remember when your father beat you...

This angered Gyola who with a defiant look responded to Terrence.

– Okay, let's do that... let's go outside and I'll break that old old face of yours... first the old people.

Gyola said as he pointed to the exit, Terrence took off his apron and left his things there, so while he was doing this, he said to him.

– Perfect.

Terrence left everything and came out from behind the bar, he was heading ahead of Gyola towards the door, he was going with the others, but before Terrence came out and, as he opened the door, Gyola pulled out a gun and without saying anything shot him, right in the chest, Terrence noticing it, turned slightly and being face to face with Gyola who was laughing at Terrence's fall, the latter told him.

— You are a bastard, Gyola.

— I know… I don't know who my father is…

Gyola told him mockingly while he saw how he was fainting at the entrance of his tavern while the door was closing, Gyola to continue mocking Terrence, ran towards him and hit him in the chest, causing him to come out of a blow to the street, while Terrence was dying keeping his consciousness, Gyola and the other two came out and surrounded Terrence, who only looked up, Gyola crouched down to be closer to Terrence, then at the moment they looked into each other's eyes, Gyola he told her in such a dry way.

— It seems that your divine justice has failed you... or at least, you weren't worthy of doing it yourself...

Terrence tried to reach Gyola with his hands, but he hit him in the face to avoid it, while Gyola was getting up, he told one of the men.

— Go get the money from the tavern, surely he has a lot saved there... he hasn't paid for a long time...

He nodded and entered again, taking the money from behind the tavern and assaulting the customers who remained inside, meanwhile outside the tavern, Gyola had crushed Terrence's arm, who was complaining since he had spikes under the sole from his shoes, Gyola pressed hard, blood was already gushing from there, just as it did before from the shot to the chest.

– Terrence, you can't trust the law in these low places... but believe me, you can't trust yourself either... this place is made for people who use others... that they are strong and create bonds between them so as not to end up in the same situation you are in, old man... It's so simple, I don't understand how people as wise as you don't understand it... in the slums, you don't live, you survive... although, I don't think you'll survive... it's kill or be killed, Terrence... and I think it was already chosen for you...

At that moment the one who stormed the tavern came out, then warning Gyola, he looked at Terrence's face, then with a slight smile, he told him.

— Well, we're leaving now, bartender... good luck explaining your tavern, your casino and your brothel in the afterlife, Terrence... you're also a scourge of this society, don't forget it...

Finally they ran away from there, Terrence for his part, looked at the sky and looking at the stars that came to form the shape of an angel, he said.

— I am sure that one day divine justice will come to you... then, I will be able to smile happily...

They were the last words of Terrence who, after that he gave his last exhalation to stop living, all his workers, who had not left, then came out and saw Terrence on the ground, they were surprised as well as horrified to see him, seeing him on the ground in such a state, they surrounded him, and immediately, seeming as if it were his family, they began to cry for him, even though they looked like slaves, that they were treated badly by the clients and that they were nothing more than prostitutes, to Terrence they were all young men and women who had to work at it to make a living.

Gyola and the other two were escaping through the streets of those poor areas, it seemed that they were unstoppable, although the path became narrower as they advanced, because this was how the flow of people from the poor neighborhoods to the In the rest of the city, while the streets were narrowing, Gyola and the others ran into a strange obstacle, which made them stop instantly.

In front of them a little girl appeared, she was about ten or twelve years old, she looked very young, she had white skin, she had light greyish eyes, her hair was black, a very dark shade of black, so much so that the reflections and the separation of hair was not noticeable, she was dressed in a black leather suit, shirt, pants and shoes, everything was made of black leather, in addition to a cap of the same color, but this one was made of cloth, her look was a little empty, but she looked serene, she was a little pretty, surely she would be a beauty when she grew up, even if they looked at all this, Gyola and his men had no reason to stop, despite having done so, one of the men accompanying Gyola he leaned closer and whispered to her.

– Gyola, what do we do?

This one returned the gaze also and whispered to him.

— She's just a little girl, we'll just surround her, and if she doesn't want to take off, we'll push her and that's it.

The other nodded, then returning his gaze to the little girl, Gyola smiled at him and with much feigned calm, told the girl.

— Hey, little girl... we have to pass and we don't want to hurt you, so please, let us pass and nothing will happen to you, ok?

This threat would have frightened some of the customers from before, but this girl instead ended up getting angry, she lowered her gaze, which surprised Gyola and the others, then the girl with her eyes on the ground and with an expression that she was getting angrier, she in a deeper voice than they expected from a little girl, she told them.

— I'm not a little boy, I'm an adult and I'm not a girl!

They got scared, then said the other two who were accompanying Gyola.

– She's not a little girl.

– It's not a girl.

One said the first thing and was hit by that guy, then the other said the following and was also hit by the guy, finally he was in front of Gyola, he was a little scared, he told him.

– I don't care who you are, you won't stop me.

– Why so sure?

– Because I have this!

He took out his pistol and started shooting, there were five bullets in total, but none hit the guy, in fact, they didn't even come close to him, when he dodged them he got closer, when he ran out of bullets, he tried to reload again with a lot of nerves, but before After that, that guy reached him and hit him in the abdomen, completely knocking the air out of him, he lowered his head a bit, perfect for that guy who started a series of blows that didn't end until Gyola fell to the ground in great pain.

After such a beating, Gyola could not get up again, he ended up on the cold and dirty floor, he heard the guy's footsteps, so he looked up and saw that he was already in front of him, while he saw him squirm, this guy told him to Gyola.

— How regrettable you look... I thought you were hard, but I think I was wrong...

While still writhing in pain, Gyola looked at the guy and said angrily.

– You are a real bastard.

– Do you believe that? I have my parents… I thought the bastard was you, Gyola Hoffman…

– How do you know my name?

— Fair investigation... they told me that you are worse than the black plague... that is very exaggerated, I don't think it deserves such a title... perhaps worse than yellow fever... around that level you are very good...

– Idiot, who do you think you're hitting?

— Gyola Hoffman, leader of the Red Swan's Blood wargroup...

— Exactly, if something happens to me, they will go right away for me.

– Oh really? Ah, what a pity... that would have helped me not to do so much work...

– S-so much work? what are you talking about?

— That before arriving here your entire gang was dismantled... they should have already been captured by the law of this city...

– To all? Who did it?

– I did.

The guy told him, Gyola was very surprised, then he replied.

— That is not possible, you could not have done it alone.

— But I did it... if it's for a order, I can do it without much problem...

- A order? who asked you to do this?

— You don't need to know, I'll just tell you that the monkey dances for money... and I'm greedy... it was a large sum of money... that's why... I had no problem with ending your organization... this world moves with the help of money... that's right only real thing in this world...

Gyola tried to get up, but he couldn't, he was terrified, so looking at him from the front, he told him.

— You finished off my entire group, with one blow you fainted them, the strongest of the group, and left me completely paralyzed... who are you?

– Well...you can call me...divine justice...

Gyola was surprised, he understood then who sent him, after that, the last thing Gyola consciously saw was the sole of that guy who knocked him out by crushing his head, it didn't kill him, but it did knock him out.

For his part, minutes after that, that guy had arrived where Terrence's body was, seeing everyone around him, he asked for passage, they granted him this, then, when he was next to Terrence's body, he looked at him and said.

— I'm sorry for being late, but I already achieved what you wanted, Terrence... I already ended the life of the Red Swan's Blood group... they will no longer be on the street scaring everyone... they will be locked up for a long time... I think you would be happy to see the results of the request you made me...

He looked at the others, then seeing their sad looks, he looked down and with great sorrow, he said to them.

— I'm sorry, everyone... if I had done my job quickly, Mr. Terrence wouldn't have ended up dead... I'm really sorry...

One of them approached the guy, then asked him.

— Gyola won't scare the neighborhood anymore, right? is that what you said?

The guy looked at him and said.

- Yeah.

— So, I'm sure Terrence would be very happy about that… thank you for taking his request…

The guy nodded, then looked at Terrence who seemed to be smiling, then as a strange gesture on the guy's part, he took out a gold coin and before leaving, he threw it over Terrence's dead body and he said.

— Here is the money I owed you, Terrence.
