It was an early morning at Kakeru High School. Yusuke locked his bike and walked into the school with his headphones on. He walked into his classroom and saw Ryuzaki and Yuki.
"How long have you guys been here…?" Yusuke asked. Ryuzaki shrugged,
"15-20 minutes…" Ryuzaki said. Yusuke nodded,
"Well, how about we head down and set everything up before everyone gets here…" Yusuke says. Ryuzaki nodded,
"We'll meet you down there…" Ryuzaki said. Yusuke nodded, walking over to his desk and putting his bag down on top of it. He looked out the window, seeing the early morning sun rise. He smiled, walking toward the exit of the classroom when suddenly, Hanako appeared. Yusuke stepped back slightly in surprised,
"H-Hanako!? Where'd you come from??" Yusuke asked. Hanako smiled,
"From down the hall, why didn't you go down with Kurosawa and Kaneshiro?" Hanako asked. Yusuke shrugged,
"Was just putting my bag down then I was going to head down." Yusuke said. Hanako nodded,
"Speaking of Kaneshiro… What's he like?" Hanako asked. Yusuke looked down at her, raising a brow. She stood next to him, leaning against the door frame. Yusuke put his hands on top of the door frame, leaning forward to stretch. Yusuke yawned, shaking his head.
"Don't you know him?" Yusuke asked. Hanako looked at Yusuke, raising a brow.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Hanako asked. Yusuke shrugged,
"Well, you're the manager and all, so I thought-" Yusuke said. Hanako shook her head,
"Well, are you going to answer my question?" Hanako asked. Yusuke looked down at her, smiling.
"Why? You got a crush on him or something?" Yusuke chuckled. Hanako blushed, looking up at Yusuke embarrassingly.
"N-No I don't…! Idiot!" Hanako said, running down the hall. Yusuke watched her run away, as his smile changed to a straight face.
"Yeah… She does…" Yusuke had a slightly saddened look on his face. Yusuke walked out of the classroom, down the hallway. He had his hands in his pockets, looking at the ground.
"Why…"
"What's this weird feeling I have in my stomach all of a sudden…?"
"Am I…"
"… Jealous…?" Yusuke internalized. Meanwhile, Ryuzaki and Yuki would be setting up the tent near the entrance of the school. Yusuke ran over, helping them set up the tent.
"Sorry I took so long guys…" Yusuke said, with a slightly sadder tone. Ryuzaki looked up, raising a brow.
"It's fine…" Ryuzaki asked.
"My dad'll be here to drop everything off any second now…" Ryuzaki said. Yusuke nodded,
"We'll help him when he gets here…" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki nodded, They then placed a table at the end of their tent with a cash register provided by the school. They then put two more tables on the other sides.
"Hey guys." Yusuke said. Ryuzaki looked at him,
"Whats up?" Ryuzaki asked. Yusuke forced a smile,
"How about we wear our jerseys over our shirts?" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki starred blankly at Yusuke for a second, before smiling slightly and nodding.
"Alright, I'll go grab mine…" Yusuke said. A few minutes later, Yusuke wore his jersey over a white t-shirt.
"Didn't want to wear the school uniform top?" Ryuzaki asked. Yusuke shook his head,
"I'd get too hot wearing that many layers." Yusuke said. Ryuzaki nodded. The three of them all wore there jerseys as a Kei truck pulled up to the school gate.
"That's my dad, come on." Ryuzaki said. Yusuke nodded. The three of them jogged over to his dad's truck.
"Thanks Dad," Ryuzaki said. His dad got out of the car, nodding.
"No problem… Nice to meet you, you are?" Mr. Kurosawa asked. Yusuke bowed,
"Chisaka Yusuke, Mr. Kurosawa, Pleasure to meet you!" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki's dad chuckled,
"Well, nice to meet you Yusuke, hope my son isn't causing you any trouble." Mr. Kurosawa said. Yusuke shook his head,
"Don't worry, I can handle him." Yusuke said. Ryuzaki looked at Yusuke, raising a brow as he held two pots.
"Hey!? What's that supposed to mean?" Ryuzaki asked. Yusuke shrugged,
"I'm just joking…" Yusuke said, smiling. Ryuzaki sighed, nodding.
"Alright, help me carry this stuff…" Ryuzaki said. Yusuke nodded, grabbing two of the stoves. Mr. Kurosawa grabbed a stove and one of the pots. Yuki grabbed the cooler on the back of the truck, carrying the chicken and seasonings. They all brought it to the tent, setting it all up. Yusuke ran over to grab the cooling racks and baking sheets. He also brought a bowl for the flour.
"Alright… I think that's everything…" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki nodded,
"Alright, what will our roles be-" Yusuke said.
"You're cashier." Ryuzaki and Yuki said at the same time.
"Damn!" Yusuke internalized. A few seconds later, the school would be bustling with visitors. Yusuke stood at the cash register slightly bored. Suddenly two girls walked up, looking around the tent. Yusuke stood up tall, smiling.
"Would you guys like some fried chicken?" Yusuke asked. One of the girls had platinum colored hair and the other one wore a baseball cap covering her eyes. She had black hair and was slightly tanner than the other. The first girl had brown eyes.
"Sure, I'll have some!" The first girl said. Yusuke nodded, looking back at Yuki and Ryuzaki.
"One breast" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki nodded, coating a breast and putting it in the oil to fry. Yusuke looked forward at the two girls.
"Anything else?" Yusuke asked. The platinum girl looked back at her friend.
"You want anything…?" She asked. The black haired girl whispered something in her friends ear.
"Fine, I'll ask him." The girl said. She looked at Yusuke.
"Do you know who Akane Tamura is?" The platinum haired girl asked. Yusuke raised a brow,
"Name sounds familiar but I don't know where I've heard it…" Yusuke said.
"Sorry, I don't know but it's a pretty name…" Yusuke said. The black haired girl looked up at Yusuke, slightly blushing. She walked past her friend looking at Yusuke. She had beautiful hazel green eyes and freckles.
"Uhm, could I also have a chicken breast?" She asked. Yusuke smiled, nodding.
"Sure!" Yusuke said. He looked back at Ryuzaki,
"Make that two!" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki nodded, putting another one in the oil. Yusuke looked back forward,
"Uhm, sorry about that… I'm Akane…" The black haired girl said. Yusuke smiled,
"Yusuke Chisaka, nice to meet you!" Yusuke said. She smiled, looking Yusuke in the eyes.
"Do you… Wanna hang out later…?" Akane asked. Yusuke looked surprised,
"Sure!" Yusuke said. Meanwhile, Ryuzaki and Yuki stood next to eachother watching this,
"He's totally oblivious…" Ryuzaki said. Yuki shrugged,
"Doesn't matter, it'll make him distracted…" Yuki said. Ryuzaki looked at Yuki, sighing.
"Whatever…" Ryuzaki said. Akane handed Yusuke her phone to put his phone number in. Ryuzaki handed the two girl's their chicken and smiled.
"Thank you, have a nice day!" Ryuzaki said. The two girls walked away, looking at eachother. Yusuke looked back at Yuki and Ryuzaki,
"How much longer is this festival?" Yusuke asked.
"About an hour…" Ryuzaki said.
"Mhm… How about we close in 25, we're nearly out of chicken anyways…" Yusuke said. Ryuzaki nodded.
