Some time later when they were done with dinner, they all filed into the garden to sit at the well arranged 'love nest' as Esther and David had nicknamed the place years ago. Nicole ran to Selene, hugged her legs and said, "Thank you grandma, I'll miss you."
At first Selene was shocked, she was at a loss at why the little girl would do something like that when she had obviously not been good to her mother. At the same time, as the hug lingered, she was happy, Nicole is the first grandchild she's having and the thought of having this little one play around in the house and call her grandma was a very much welcomed development.
"I'll miss you too, my dear. But I'm guessing that in the duration of your stay, your mother would allow you come spend some time with us again." She said and winked at Laurel who was quite shock to respond.
"That sounds a lot better than it sounded 15 minutes ago." Ava mumured into only Laurel's hearing where they were seated.
