I was going to argue with the captain, but I thought he was right. I want to approach Chesca now just to remind her that the men she is talking to now have already insulted her once, yet I know to myself that what the captain said was right. After all, I don't control Chesca's thoughts.
I turned around, and the captain and I started walking.
"Who knows, maybe he's just doing that to get your attention—to make you jealous," he said.
I rolled my eyes and just scratched my head. Damn you, Brandon.
"No matter what she does, I won't be jealous. Though I am concerned. I didn't tell you. I once received a letter of threat from those two. It's stuck in my locker," I said upon remembering that letter, which is obviously from those two.
The captain's face darkened, which I wondered about. Did I say something wrong?
"Captain, is there a problem?" I asked curiously because his sudden change of mood was really surprising.
