Chereads / Kissed By Fire / Chapter 15 - Confrontation

Chapter 15 - Confrontation

"But I am really curious: how did you find out about it?" I asked. How has someone from Herondale High managed to discover that my boyfriend is cheating on me? For a moment, I was not able to say anything because I was still processing it. When it finally sank in, I punched the wall near me.

"Where is that bitch?" I gritted between my teeth.

"At the gym. Let's go and..."

I started walking in the direction of the gym, pushing aside the people looking at me maliciously. I'll deal with them after I deal with that quarter-evil bitch, Snow De Chavez.

When I arrived at the gym, it was just in time because the cheering team was currently doing their drills. Snow is in front of them, giving the commands, while the men's volleyball team is on the other side of the court, warming up.

Since the first period will start in a few minutes, I did not waste any more time. I walked towards the cheering team, and when I was already near Snow, I pulled her hair down. She fell to the floor because of the impact.

"The fuck you're telling everyone about? I just heard something interesting last time," I said sarcastically as she screamed like she was being murdered. That got the volleyball team's attention, as they're now surrounding us.

"Let go of me!" Snow shouted once more and desperately removed my hand from her, but she had no luck with it.

"Arya!" It was Maven who was rushing towards us. "Let go of her now!"

"Not after she tells me why the hell she is spreading rumors about me! Come on, boyfriend-stealing-hoe, Snow. Tell me before I turn you into a freaking ice monster!" I yelled.

"Ms. Fonacier!"

"Shut up, you foul scum!" I yelled at Coach Vicente, whose eyes widened at that. Okay, that's a bit out of bounds, but who cares?

"Arya, I won't repeat it again. Let go of Snow," Maven warned in a cold voice. I clenched my jaw at that, then just let go of her girlfriend, whose face almost hit the ground.

"You can't just come here and assault people, Arya," he said afterwards.

"Well, I have every right to be furious, am I not? This bitch is spreading rumors about me!"

"You know what? It's just right that Maven cheated on you. Just look at your mouth, little girl. What are you? A squatter who's deprived of education?" Drake said, which everyone else silently agreed with.

"Why should I care about the opinion of someone who does not know how to play volleyball? Your captain even said that I played better than half of you," I spat.

"I didn't say that, Arya." Maven contracted, and his teammates laughed at that, even the members of the cheering team.

Okay, just when I thought that he was already a total jerk, he just became worse than that.

"Girls will never be as good as boys in sports, Ms. Fonacier. Remember that always," Vicente said once again.

I smirked at that. "Oh, really? Tell that to me if you will be able to take down Herondale High this year," I shot back. That shut them up anyway.

I turned and told my friends that we should go.

"Maven, if you think for one second that Arya will chase after you, dream on. You're not even qualified to date her; you can't even bring her to an expensive restaurant, let alone treat her right. We just tolerated you. And one more thing, she got a new boyfriend who's hotter than you. I'll bet even your bitch new girlfriend would try and steal him from Arya too." Trina said that shocked me because it's the first time she spoke that way. I know to myself that Maven's financial status isn't an issue for her, but probably something inside her snapped when she saw I was being ridiculed.

I did not bother to look back to see Maven's reaction. I am so done with him.

"Those bastards! Who do they think they are?" Trina yelled as we made our way back to the classroom. I did not mind responding until now, and I am still fuming after that confrontation.

That Maven! He told me before that I play better than half of his team! He really said that! It is not something I just made up, yet he had the audacity to make me look like a liar in front of his team so they could make fun of me!

I am so mad right now; I cannot even think straight. I badly want to hurt them. All of them. I want to take revenge and make them taste their own medicine. The arrogance of those bastards knows no bounds; someone needs to teach them a lesson, especially the men's team!

"We should be worried more if Coach Vicente did something, bessy. In case you forgot, you just called him a scum," Gail reminded me, which made me wince. Just hearing the name of that stupid old man is infuriating enough. I really wish they wouldn't win this year against Herondale High.

"Well, he really is a scumbag who doesn't deserve to walk among us."

Trina and Gail just gave me a resigned look and then shook their heads. Somehow, right now, I am already able to at least calm down as fear starts to slowly build up inside me.

If the devil is feeling bad about me, he might go to the principal's office and tell her everything that happened. And if that's the case, I'm scared that they'll probably go after the team instead of just giving me a suspension.

There's no sense in doting on something that hasn't happened yet, so we just proceeded to walk to the classroom. There isn't a teacher yet, so it's no wonder that everyone is scattered around. When they saw me, they avoided my gaze right away. Not that I mind because they know me when I am angry.

I went straight to my desk and even lifted my feet off the table. Shit. What am I going to do now? Damn, should I just tell my brothers about this? If they know what happened last time, I'm sure everything is going down, especially if dad gets involved.

The door then opened, and it revealed Kisha and her minions. She then looked around, and when she saw me, she walked in my direction right away.
