Chapter 1 - The Divine Swordsman

"Dante, are you all right?" You groaned. You were suddenly met with a pounding headache, as well as mild confusion.

What am I doing here? The last thing I remember doing was... ah.

You were stabbed. During that fateful afternoon, you were mugged on the side of the street and ended up being killed in the process. Such a worthless way to die, by some broke crackhead.

As you pondered your situation and opened your eyes, you were met with a heavenly sight. A beautiful, blonde haired and blue eyed girl was crouched down on her knees.

"You've been out for some time. You were assisting me with making dinner tonight and randomly collapsed." Your face turned beet red as her breasts jiggled in front of you.

You tried to ignore them the best you could, but it was practically impossible.

"Here, I'll help you to your room." She held out a hand, offering to help pick you up.

"Sorry, I should be fine." You got on one knee, pushing yourself up and moving to use the nearby table as a crutch. After a few seconds, you came to ask, "I believe I hit my head a bit too hard, where exactly is my room again?"

She seemed visibly puzzled, giving you a confused look. "Are you sure you're alright?"

"Yes, I'm sure." You spoke in an embarrassed tone.

"Well, just follow me." She grabbed your hand and forced you to your feet. She dragged you through a hallway, leading you up a set of stairs. As you neared the end of the hallway, you assumed the door at the end of it was yours.

As you walked beside this strange girl, you asked, "I'm assuming that room is mine?" While pointing at the door.

"And you'd be correct. Mother doesn't know about your nasty fall yet, so I'll go tell her. I recommend you getting some rest in the meantime." She gave you a slight, casual smile as she turned to leave.

"Thanks for the assistance." You went for the door handle and twisted it, revealing your own room. It was practically ocean themed, considering everything was plain blue.

You retreated to your bed, as you were slowly retreating into dreamland, you heard a subtle beep.

As you looked up, a rectangular, blue opaque screen positioned itself above you, facing your body.

What the actual fuck. This is fucking sick! Stressful, but sick!

Since the divide entity option is unavailable, I'll choose the second best, celestia-

As soon as your hand was about to tap the celestial option, your room door burst open.

"Dante, are you okay!?" You jumped, selecting something completely undesirable. Swordsman. You groaned, upset at the sudden unfortunate circumstances.

"I'm fine, just hit my head a bit hard." Aggravated, you tried to cut the conversation short. I guess your tone was noticeable, since as soon as you looked away, someone else chimed in as well.

"Watch your tone Damian." She sounded annoyed, although she was out of sight, her voice was quite projecting.

"My bad, I've just been stuck with a headache ever since I fell." You tried to clear up the misunderstanding, but she wouldn't let it go.

"Falling doesn't justify your attitude." She retorted. You'd only shared a few sentences and already didn't like her. You guess you'd been a bit rude but you had already apologized.

"I already apologized, so get off my back." You barked.

"Listen, everyone calm down. Damian was just feeling a bit aggravated due to his migraine. Daliah, let's just give him a bit of space, alright?"

"Fine, but don't let him talk to you like that again." And with that, she left without you ever seeing her face.

"I'll check up on you later Damian, alright? " She gave you a warm smile. You nodded.

As she closed the door, your attention returned to the floating dialogue box.
