"Yes, they make other low-level organizations take the bait and present them as a scapegoat in front of the public."
"Isn't there a single individual that sees through their ploy and guards against it?"
"You are really perceptive, my friend. Yes, there have been individuals who have seen through their ploy and tried to resist it however, within one month their whereabouts became unknown. It is said that they have disposed of them or maybe used them to be their playthings", sighed Jack.
"Aren't they using people as 'experimental subjects'?" thought Stefan.
"What? What does it mean, my friend?", asked Jack. He had never heard of this thing before. It sounded very different from their local language.
'Damn! I accidentally said it aloud' thought Stefan.
Stefan pondered and asked the auxiliary system, how should one explain the term 'experimental subjects' for an ancient person to understand it?
The auxiliary system replied and Stefan after reading it once said it aloud, "In ancient days, when wise men sought to uncover the mysteries of the world, they would engage in what we now call 'experiments.' Imagine a learned sage or healer who wishes to unravel the secrets of nature. They might observe how seeds sprout or how certain remedies affect the sick."
Stefan paused and gave them a moment to digest the information, and then continued, "In these inquiries, they require something or someone to observe and learn from closely. This entity, be it a plant, an animal, or a willing participant, becomes the 'experimental subject.' To put it plainly, it is akin to a person or thing that aids in the pursuit of knowledge, helping the seeker understand the workings of the universe."
Jack and Tylor both find the term fascinating as it reflects the status of those individuals conveniently.
Finding that both of them find it interesting to learn this term, Stefan continued, "However, there are times when people, plants, or animals are not willing to become experimental subjects but are forced to do so. For example:
"A plant, or a herb that has gained sentience, would not want to be dissected and squeezed dry just to satisfy greedy human beings. Similarly, animals with special attributes are captured, studied, and forced to mate with other species to create a new being. This is one of the main reasons why some plants and animals go extinct."
"Does that mean that plants or animals that are said to be extinct might actually exist somewhere?", Jack asked eagerly while squeezing Stefan's hands hard.
Stefan and Tylor were dumbfounded by watching Jack's enthusiastic attitude.
Realizing that he had crossed the boundaries, Jack apologized and took a step back, "I am sorry it was just a surprise for me that these things might exist somewhere. You guys carry on... I suddenly remembered I had an urgent matter to attend to.. We'll catch up some other day. Also, exercise caution when reading and practicing from that book."
While Jack's voice faded away, Stefan once again felt the sense of peeping. Only this time, he immediately turned around and scanned his surroundings with the help of his perceptive ability.
"Come out!", shouted Stefan towards the corner of a bookshelf, where there was just enough space for a person to hide.
Both Tylor and Stefan looked at each other and immediately ran towards the bookshelf. After reaching, they found that.....
