Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: What nice weather?

Priestess Kayla ran up to him and said,

"Please, you have to stay put else your wounds will get infected." She warned and he looked into her eyes. They were clear and honest.

Seriously, was there such a person who was as pure as this?

"You don't need to worry about that. My wounds are healed." He said and she stared at him, confused.

"How come? They didn't heal when I used my healing powers so how… ?"

"I healed them on my own." He said.

"You did?"

"Yes."

"That can't be. Healing powers didn't work on you. I tried, day and night but… "

"Hey!" He snapped his fingers. "I never said I used healing powers."

"Then… "

Justin untied his robe and showed her his body. As soon as he did this, she looked away with flushed cheeks.

"What are you doing? That's an indecent thing to do." The priest quarried.

"What? She said she tried to heal my wounds day and night, so that meant she already saw my body, right?" His words made sense but he didn't have to be so shameless about it.

"I did, but… "

"Hey, if you're going to check then hurry up. I'm in a hurry." He said and Kayla mustered up courage to look at a man's chest.

But as soon as she saw it was all healed, she gasped in surprise.

"Wow, you really did heal yourself. But how?"

"That's my secret." He said and tied the robe.

"Can I leave now?"

"Dressed like that?" The priest asked and he raised an eyebrow.

"What about it?"

The priest and Kayla both exchanged glances. This guy was so nonchalant about everything.

"Um, you can't leave yet." Kayla said.

"Why? I'm already well." Justin said but she looked down, feeling a bit guilty.

"Well, the king wants to meet you." Hearing this, Justin's eyes widened.

"What did you just say?"

"The king wants to meet you." She repeated.

"Why?"

"Well, you accomplished a great feat. It's only natural for the king to want to meet you in person."

"Not interested!" He simply said and turned to leave.

"Eh?"

'What in the world? Why should I meet the king?' he thought as he walked out.

All eyes were on him but he simply didn't care.

Outside, the sun shone brightly and he had to cover his face to look up.

"What nice weather?!" He exclaimed.

"Excuse me." Someone approached from the side and Justin turned to see the commander. "Can we talk?"

"I'd like to refuse. I'm a bit busy at the moment." Justin said, but the commander wasn't that surprised.

He had come to guess Justin's type of attitude after their first meeting.

"But what I'd like to say is something important and it can change your life for good." He added but Justin still didn't look interested.

"Still gotta go." He said. 'Besides, what could be more life changing than getting chosen by the gods? I'm practically living my life as their puppet.'

"Then, can we meet sometime else?" He asked and Justin took a good look at him.

This good looking and well built man looked like a soldier and a national hero. Who was he? What did he want from him? Did he want him to join the army? Not a chance.

Well, this might be fun. He smirked.

"If you can track me down, I'll be more than happy to listen to what you have to say." Justin said and with a single step, he disappeared, not giving the commander any room to agree or disagree. But he wasn't really in the situation to disagree either.

Justin got to the house and as soon as he opened the door, a pan landed on his head.

"Ouch!" Whoever did it had a very strong grip and mighty strength and…

"Brother!" The girls chorused and hugged him. Alicia was holding the pan. That explained why it was so painful.

"I'm here, nothing to worry." He said but suddenly got punched in the guts but Alicia.

"Bad brother, you said you'd come back right away." She accused him with teary eyes.

"Yeah, brother is bad. He left and made us worry. We… we were so scared." Alexia burst out in tears.

"So sorry, brother got tied up. Forgive me? I came back safely, didn't I? I fulfilled my promise." They both nodded, trying to wipe their tears and he hugged them.

But then, Alexia started searching his body.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Um, where's our food?" She asked and he blinked.

"Eh?"

"You promised to come back with delicious food." Alexia said, on the verge of crying.

"Haha, I… I brought it. It's right outside." He said and took a step back. "Wait here, I… I'll get the food." He stepped out of the house and shut the door.

As soon as he shut the door, he used warp and got to a good store, buying as much food as he could.

'My girls must be starving since they didn't have anything to eat for three days.' he thought.

The shop owner stared at him astonished, but she didn't have time to ask as he paid and disappeared immediately.

Getting back to the house, he swiped his hair backwards and opened the door.

"Here's the food." He announced and the girls cheered. "See, I didn't break my promise." He smirked.

"Hm, you're acting suspicious." Alicia pointed out with suspicious eyes but he snickered.

"So are you." He pressed down on her head and ruffled her hair. "Now, let's eat. I can't imagine how you girls were able to stay without eating."

"Oh, we didn't starve. There were a lot of dead bunnies at the back and we roasted them." Alexia said.

"What?"

"Roasted rabbits are delicious, brother. Let's get some later." Alicia said, over a smile and he smiled back.

"Yeah, let's get some later."

While they ate, Justin slid Alexia's hair back. The device was still there. Danger waves. It was such handy stuff but he wished to never use it. He prayed for them to remain as safe as they were this time.

'I'm glad I got a house out here,' he thought.

"What's the matter, brother?" Alexia asked.

"You two seem stronger than you look." He said.

"Hehe, does that mean you won't get mad to know that Alicia broke your room door?" Alexia sneakily asked.

"She what?" He looked over at Alicia. She had such dangerous strength.

"You're telling on me, aren't you?" Alicia fummed. "Alexia burnt her ribbon." She also blurted out.

These kids, if someone told him they weren't human then he would believe with no doubt.

Was this way they had red in their light. They had strength and powers he couldn't fathom.

"It's alright." He said. "All can be fixed and replaced but your lives can't so please be careful." He wanted and they nodded, sticking out their tongues at each other.

"By the way, brother, what happened to your clothes?" Alicia suddenly asked.

"Yeah, why are you on a robe?" Alexia also asked and he thought back to the priestess.

"Well, a girl took them off." He said with a smile.

"That girl just be pretty strong." Alicia said and he nodded.

"Master, what girl? It was clearly the pressure from that demon." Attica, who had been silent, said and it irked him.

'Shut up.'
