"Derrick its time to get up" A woman voice was heard outside the door of a room."Freshen up and come and jave breakfast, we need to get to LMH (Lunar Mage High)for your awakening and high school registration". She continued.
"Okay mum be right there"Derrick replied while standing up from his bed and heading towards the bathroom.
Few minutes later he came down with his hair dripping wet.
"Were you in such a hurry that you forgot to dry your hair?,come sit and have breakfast". Derrick's mum said placing dishes on the table.
"Don't worry it'll dry on it's own, besides you were the one urging me to come down quick". Derrick shrugged then dragged a chair out and sat.
"Yh sleepy head if i didn't come by to your room you would still be sleeping, you don't want to be the last to get tested do you?. Laura, derrick's mum asked." By the way your dad semt a message , he can't make it ". She further said.
Derrick scoffed ;"as expected ".
"Hey honey what's with the attitude; you should know how busy your dad is, he's the commander of this territory ". Derrick's mum said as she sat down to eat.
"Yh that's the point he is in charge of a territory not a region like klaus dad". Derrick replied. "Look here son you should be thankful he's the commander of just a territory and not a region, i mean look at klaus dadhe comes home twice or thrice a year but your dad comes home twice or thrice a month". Derrick's mum smiled as she placed her palm over derrick's with a sense of comfort.
"Well to me they're the same , always absent from home , i think I'm done lets get going". Derrick ended the topic as he stood up graciouslywalking away with his half dried hair." Wait let me grab my purse.

Thirty minutes later Derrick and his mum came down from their carriage in front of the gate of a building which Lunar Mage High was boldly written on. Derrick looked around and saw carriages, flying magic beast which have been tamed crashing down from the sky,portals opening from different part of the road , and people appearing out of the blue's through teleportation. "Hmm all this people must have shocking status". Derrick thought in his mind .
Derrick's mum turned to thier chauffeur " wait here while we enter". Then they went in,when they entered they wwere directed into a small building in the school to pay and register."hmm Derrick White,Awakening number:fifty six". The bursar said. "Oh my goodness we aren't that late". Derrick's mum grinned.
" madam please you may proceed, the awakening test will start soon" the bursar continued. As they walked out of the registration office,they heard a young voice calling"Derrick !". Derrick turned back to see who called him then he saw it was his friend klaus." Woah klaus long time no see ". Derrick greeted.
"Yh since since we left hero elementary we've been communicating with letters, i was going to come over but my cousin visited. That reminds me you didn't reply my last letter". Klaus said.
"What's there to reply besides the cousin you speak of is it jonas?. Derrick asked.
"Nope it's zennia from my paternal side ". Klaus answered.
"Ok, so what's your awakening number". Derrick asked.
"Well I'm number thirty five what about yo..... before klaus could complete his statement he heard a female voice .
'Klaus '. Is this really you, you've really grown after so many years. The young girl stated.
Allison you also grew more beautiful. Klaus replied. Hmmm . She said briefly.klaus turned to derrick: derrick this is Allison a friend of mine when i was still at starlight hero elementary and Allison this is Derrick my buddy at lunar hero elementary. Klaus introduced.
"Hi as he said I'm derrick, Derrick White to be precise". Derrick said to Allison while stretching out his hands for a hand shake.
"I didn't ask". Allison replied coldly and walked away leaving derrick stunned and stupified.
"Okay that's rude,why is she being so cold its not like I'm begging her for friendship or something. Derrick saidto Klaus. Oh about that they are all cold in their family, i mean to say her aunt's the famous forest witch, her cousin just battled and won the famous young blood witch at the interschool tournament and her mother is the ice witch. Klaus said in a go not noticing the shock that's plastered all over derrick's face.
What! So you mean she's Allison Light,the daughter of the ice witch. Derrick tried to confirm still not believing what klaus just told him.
Yeah, and don't be jealous but I'm actually her only friend. Klaus replied patting derrick's shoulder.
So what's your awakening number again. Klaus asked derrick after a pregnant pause.

Hmm that's twenty ahead of mine . A voice came from behind.
Hey Conor, you startled me i thought you wouldn't attend Lunar Mage High, since you had the thought of going to starlight or boscon. I never knew you'd eventually come to Lunar. Anyways I'm happy to see you. Derrick gave Conor a brotherly hug.
Well i gave it some thought and since you're my only friend, i came to lunar. Conor replied with a shrugged shoulder.
Well Conor, this is klaus my only buddy in hero elementary and klaus this is Conor my only buddy in the neighbourhood. Derrick introduced.
So you're Conor, I've heard so much about you nice to meet you. Klaus said with a friendly smile.
Yh nice to meet you. Conor smiled back.
Hmm, Conor what a weird name. Allison voice came from behind.
Huh who are you . Conor asked slightly stunned.
Hi I'm Allison Light an acquaintance of klaus. Allison walked over with a slight smirk on her face.
What !. Conor exclaimed with a shocked face never in his life would he have thought of meeting the ice witch daughter.
You cruel Allison, you didn't even tell me your name and when I said mine you gave me cold attitude. Derrick interrupted their conversation with a pained smile.
Well thats because i have a weird feeling around you. Allison shrugged.
By the way I'm Conor Heather son of the Heathers guild. Conor said trying to ease the awkward atmosphere.
Allison hmm'd briefly and diverted her attention to her surroundings while asking ; what are your awakening numbers , I'm fifteen.
Thirty five. Klaus said.
Fifty six . Derrick said after klaus.
And I'm seventy six, looks like I'm the last . Conor chuckled.
Anyways let's head in the ceremony is about to start. Allison said walking ahead of the group.

At Lunar Mage High awakening hall,the four(Allison, Derrick, Klaus and Conor) could be seen standing together. Then an elder stepped on stage and everyone became quite.
Goodday ladies and gentlemen, as you all know this is a special day all over this region, the Alvis region and also this school Lunar Mage High. This blessed day is the day of Awakening, where we see our kids awaken and begin their path in cultivation. The elder who stepped on stage said and an applause came from the crowd as a response.
